can you realize you are dreaming any night you wish? if not, those various techniques are useful in allowing you to control the frequency of your lucids. (unless you would rather just let them happen when they will..)

as far as control goes, i'm working on this presently as well. i've found the most important aspect is continually real-izing "my mind is creating ALL of this right now...there are no limitations but those i accept..."

after really absorbing the fact that dreams are 100% created by one's mind, i have been able to levitate/fly with reasonable success, and conjure a couple objects.

practice and the belief you can are the two most important paths to dream control IMO.
