Thread: Light but night ?

Hello all you silly gooses

Lately ive been having a frequent scenario pop up in my dream, i will be in a light dream scape where the sun is shining and the sky is just... beautifull (dream skys are always awesome) and ill look at a clock or ask someone for the time and they will say its the middle of the night and for some reason ill think to myself
"wow i wish it was like this ALL the time"
Yeah.... so any thoughts,comments or similar experiences?

In my fist LD, I found myself in the grocery store. When I looked at the roof, there wasn't one, and the sky was so beautiful!! You are right about dream skies. They are amazing. That was a cool experience. Thank you for sharing.

Actually, Gez, after chatting with you, I remembered I had a dream of flying over a field of wildflowers and the sky was a perfect opaline blue. It was almost beyond descriptive words when I recorded it in my dream journal.

I used to have normal dreams all the time where it was like 3 AM but yet it was bright and beautiful outside, I too would always think "I wish it was always like this"

Iv had like 20 dreams where this happened

The only dream sky I can remember was gray and dreary. I did notice that it's always summer in my dreams, though. You think I'd recognize this as a dream sign by now, but no...

That's strange. My dream skys are always a kind of gray twilight, just the way I like it. I think it's just based on your preference. As for you characters telling you it's midnight, that might just be the realization that you realize you are dreaming and it may be midhnight. I dunno.

Weird. Hasn't happened to me yet.

And dream skys aren't always beautiful. The sky looked like crap in my 2nd LD. It was just black with a small dim full moon.

Try concentrating on the sky in your next LD. See what you can come up with. Your mind is a beautiful thing.

I've seen pretty neat-looking skies in dreams, too, although I really don't bother to look up at the sky very often (maybe that's something I could try doing some time). I don't think I often check the time, though. I think when I do, my watch usually reads a fairly reasonable time, but I once become lucid by looking at my watch and noticing it read a little past midnight when it was sunny outside.

If this is a fairly common occurence, you might concentrate on recognizing it as a dream sign and opportunity for lucidity. After all, bright sunny skies at midnight don't usually happen in waking reality (and if they do, you know something's really gone wrong).

i love my dream skies. they are starry and deep blue. with shooting stars, planets and nebulae all over. its breath taking.

Im definatly going to make this experience a dreamsign but im still trying to figure out if it means anything when i have these dreams its REALLY obvious that its light but night if you know what i mean

BTW: First lucid in a non-familliar setting last night Go Me!!!!
