      Pretty useful! :o)

Just thought id share something that is useful to know.

For those of you who wake half way thru your sleep to put a new entry into your dream journal, a good thing is to have some of those fake flashing ice cubes!
I didnt actually get to try this last night as i stupidly rolled over and went back to sleep when i woke in the night!

But before i went to sleep i turned off my lights and turned on both of the ice cubes and it was good cos i could see my journal and the light wasnt too bright to wake me too much.

Just a suggestion for anyone who is interested )

      Hmm, curious.
I've been searching for some light source to use that wouldn't be too bright.

What about one of those small book lamps? Those are bright, but not bright enough to wake you up too much.
      Shine on, you crazy diamond!

I have a little LED flashlight -- bright enough to see by, but it's a soft blue color -- definitely not what I'd call "too bright". I think that might work pretty well, but I've never tried it for this purpose.

Can't say I've ever heard of fake flashing ice cubes, but I guess that would work. I have a little book light that's got an LED that's not too bright, but serves the purpose.

Okay, this may just be me, but I find that after waking up from a dream, turning on bright lights doesn't make me forget the dream.

I realise that after a dream, there's a really thin line between remembering it and totally forgetting it... sometimes, it just totally slips through my "fingers" as far as remembering a dream goes. But for me, it's not the light that makes me "lose" the memories of my dream... rather, instead, it's moving or changing position. If I can move, I'm safe, and can even get up and turn the light on at the wall. The light itself doesn't reall matter... but obviously, other people find otherwise...

This is how it works with me, exactly. The light doesn't bother me either. If I get out of bed and do anything except jot down some keywords, I'll forget the dream entirely.

Happened to me this morning. I woke up remembering 2 different dreams. By the time I got out of bed, searched for the pen and paper (I had taken it out of the bedroom for recording a previous dream and forgot to put it back), and started to write...I could only remember one of the dreams. The second one completely escaped me - it's so frustrating. Now maybe when I climb back into bed tonight, I'll remember it. Yup, it's all about the position.

Heh, most chicks claim it's the size (sorry, couldn't resist)

Anyway, I'd suggest looking for these glowpens at office suppy stores or online:

I have a streetlight at the base of my driveway and my shades pulled up just a touch - that light is plenty for writting in the middle of the night. Amazing how well we can see when our eyes adjust with just a little bit of light. Sometimes the moonlinght alone can be enough.

I knew I was walking right into that one - I just wanted to see who would say something first. You get the gold star, Joe!
