      Lucid Dreaming and Sex

Yes, another one of these topics.
I was wondering (as i find most of the poeple on this fourm seem to be younger) about the sex in lucid dreams question, yet again.

Maybe you wake up because you havent had sex in real life before? has anyone tried having sex in a lucid dream that has actually done it in waking life? im still working on lucid dreaming, but i also want to give it a shot, as everyone says its impossible.

ya thats the same reason that people wake up when they realize they are dreaming because there so excited that something theyve been wanting is finally happening... like sex i suppose.

I seem to I have a natural talent for resisting excitement and waking up and can often have sex to orgasm in a lucid dream and then continue the dream afterwards.

But I have had sex in the real life, so who knows. I really don't think that has anything to do with it.

It's not impossible....I have had sex in my dreams without waking up and I have had sex in real life. Everyone is different though....

It has to do with excitement. If I had sex in a dream without wanting it, then I would keep dreaming, without waking up, unless I got shocked or something like that, of course.

If I'm lucid and (try to) have sex --> I wake up
If I'm not lucid and have sex --> I don't usually wake up that quickly

This is kind of sketchy, but if you where a virgin in the waking world, and tried to have sex whilst dreaming, wouldn't part of your mind not really be able to "comprehend" it? Seeing as how you've never been through that experience in real life? But then again, the things most people have done whilst dreaming have definately never happened in the real world. Maybe sex is more of a 'big deal' thing for most people?

i'm a virgin, and have had sex in a lucid dream. i understand what you are saying, and i was actually thinking about it during the dream..."i wonder how true to the actual experience this is..?"
my opinion is that it was quite close. after all, i've seen the act performed many times, i understand the physiology (including my own response to stimuli ), and basically have as good an idea of what to expect as with most anything else i've never experienced.

take skydiving as an example. most people haven't done it. but if they dreamt about it, they would likely recreate it fairly accurately, because they've seen it on tv, lets say, and can imagine all the sensations associated with something they have never done...eg. wind rushing around them, the sensation of falling, the ground getting progressively closer visually. and not to be crude, but all my dreaming mind had to recreate was a wet, warm hole doesn't seem very hard.

personally, i awoke right before orgasm, due to overexcitement more than anything. and i think people makingit a 'big deal' probably has alot to do with the way people experience sex in a dream, or the fact they wake up right away if they attempt it.

meh, i haven't really bothered with dream sex lately though, because why waste time ina dream with something i could do in waking life? i'd rather fly

so to answer the intial question, its certainly possible.

Sex is definately possible in dreams, lucid or otherwise. I too, have the problem of waking up prematurely, but I have seen it to the finish on a couple of instances. I am not a virgin, but some of the erotic dreams I had were when I still was and they were pretty accurate.

My theory on the issue is that the reason you wake up is because you close your eyes. Everyone knows closing your eyes is an easy way to wake up from a dream. Usually in erotic situations you would make-out with you partner prior to having sex. So maybe the waking up is merely because of the closing of your eyes. I would suggest consciously keeping your eyes open and focused on your lover. Remember you are in full control of the dream and that anything you desire exists in the dream world.

Just wondering, maybe I'm wierd, but why would you close your eyes whilst making out? I mean, I'd assume that you'd like the look of whoever it was that you're making out with, otherwise you wouldn't be doing it, right?

Sex etiquette 101. ALWAYS close your eyes while making out, unless you know your partner doesn't mind. It's just good manners. Apparently it creeps some people out if they have somebody staring into their eyes when they're making out with that person.

      *shrugs*

Hell, look, I know it doesn't make any sense, but hey, some people are weird I guess...

Closing your eyes in a lucid dream will often terminate the dream. My advice, keep them wide open, better yet, do not concentrate to steadily on the deed while you are doing it.

BTW, I keep my eyes wide open IRL as well I likes what I sees!

I usually find that if either I or the girl get too enthusiastic in the act of kissing during a dream, something will happen, like I will either wake up (real or not) or the girl will morph into something else. Staying calm and steady seems to help for me. But it can be quite frustrating because I'm usually pretty good at maintaining a dream and staying calm in these situations, but the dream characters always seem to get over excited and I can't stop them from doing so, especially when they decide that it would be fun to turn into a demon vampire girl or something... some of them can get quite aggressive and forceful when making out.

      sex/lucid dreams

This topic/area is where I feel one of the best possibilities for a shared lucid dream experience is. An intimate couple who are very closely connected in many areas might be able to pull off a shared lucid dream sex experience with some effort. You people who are paired up with soulmates might give this idea some attention!!

Are you saying that two or more person's can share a dream? How you do that? I thought that was just fiction. Any instructions on this?

Perhaps I could if I tried hard enough, but dream control is not always easy for me, especially manipulating the behaviour of dream characters. I have never done that before.

I usually prefer not to control my lucid dreams unless there is something specific that I want to do, so I don't really get much practice doing it.

Look in the "beyond dreaming" section.

As to whether it's fiction, my position is yes, it is. People disagree, but... here's the deal. If it was real, by now somebody would have undergone a legit scientific experiment and proven it.

Been trying to do that for a couple of years now booker. Either it's not happening or my wife feels the urge to suppress the memory
