Dreaming about ATTAINING a lucid dream

Oddest thing ever happened to me last night... I was concentrating on XboX360, as I don't own one, but it was my dream sign. I kept concentrating that i'll dream about it. Then when I slept, I had a dream about a guy strangling another guy in a bathroom with an XboX360, I saw it in my dream and said "I have a lucid dream". But I really wasn't lucid! Cause right after that I was in my room, and I flew out of the house into a place that looked like a zoomed out version of maps you see in games. There was nothing... then I was in my room again, and I dreamt that I was losing the dream and I started twirling and spining around to maintain the dream, then afte rI went flying again. But I am sure I wasn't lucid!

Another dream I had soon after was that I was on this Forum. Then I read somewhere about a quote form the Bible, Revelations 25:38 (if it exists) said something about how Hypgontic Images are Santanic Messages and I yet did not become lucid or thought about it in that dream...

so what's up? Is it a step forwarD?

I've never had a lucid dream before as far as I can remember. I have been trying for about two weeks and browsed this site and forum about a week ago.

I've had a dream quite similar to that.

It was bizarre. I sat down in front of this TV, and it was a "Lucid Dreaming" tape. And you had to watch it for 2 minutes and then close your eyes, and poof, you'd be lucid dreaming. So I watched it, closed my eyes, and I did random stuff and i kept saying "I'm dreaming" but it definitely wasn't at all lucid. I just walked around and did stuff. Just because I was saying "I'm dreaming" doesn't mean I was convinced; I was still completely at the mercy of my dream environment.

It's a good step, though, means you're subconscious is making an effort? Or something. Just keep doing what you're doing--It'll come eventually.

There are only 22 chapters in Revelations (King James)

There are different levels of lucidity. Being lucid doesn't mean being able to control your dream necessarily, it just means that you're aware that you're dreaming. It sounds to me like you were lucid, but just barely, and only briefly. I've found that maintaining lucidity is far more challenging that achieving it in the first place. You're on your way though, keep it up!
