Thread: Recall / Flashbacks

Good afternoon,

Recently I have been having trouble recalling my dreams on waking up.

This I put down, mainly, to my pot habit.
Anyway I've noticed that although I dont remember them on first waking up, I often get flashbacks or glimpses of the dream at some point in the day. Its almost like a weak deja vu.

I dont know if its because I have seen or experienced something that corresponds to the dream or if its just totally random and these memories just come back as and when.

This happens to me alot and I often find myself sitting at my desk smiling to myself about a dream that has just come back to me, my colleagues must think I'm nuts.

I was just wondering if this happens to you guys also?

Yeah, this happens to me a lot too. I don't have much trouble with dream recall after waking up, but getting flashbacks from forgotten dreams during the day is also common. Sometimes they'll just come out of nowhere and on other occasions, I'll see a person or object that was in my dream that morning, and suddenly remember part of it. This can be really surprising, especially when it hits me upon seeing someone/something and associating it with my dreams. I'll be all like:

It happens to me all of the time. Even if I feel that I remember a whole lot during the night, sometimes I still remember things throught the next day, and at the oddest times.

Yup, this happens to me too. I find that if I stare at a locker, or some other simple object, I seem to remember my dreams from these flash back things. I have no idea why
