      Good or evil?

      Last night I had a rather interesting dream situation. I was in the garage of some high security company. I just wanted to deliver a letter. The guards were very careful with me, and one of them had a folder with the words "top secret" on it. It had some passwords or something. Suddenly some guy knocked down both guards. He smiled at me and ran off (to rob the company?). Now I was alone, thinking about what to do.

      To my own surprise I didn't choose to trigger the alarm (there was a big button for that). I took the 'top secret' folder and ran off to my car. And I felt great doing that.

      The dream ended as I got in the car but this got me thinking: Why did I choose to be evil? I wasn't lucid but something told me I had nothing to worry about.


      I'm sure a lot of you guys have had similar dreams... What's your choice? good or evil?

      This is pretty interesting... Personally, I don't believe in good or evel in the objective sense. But... it's enough that you CONSIDER what you did to be evil. So... why did you choose to do it?

      Dreams aren't rational, and this INCLUDE your own actions within a dream. At least, this is the impression I get... Because of this, you can't expect to always act rationally and in accordance with you own moral compass. Your actions may be different from those in real life, but, I wouldn't let it worry you too much.

      Most of my dreams seem to be amoral... like... I don't do anything particularly good, but I don't seem to do anything particularly bad either. I'm just trying to recall any examples where I HAVE done "good"/"evil" things...

      Tricky. Nothing's coming to mind immediately... but this is a good question! I'm gonna sleep on it.

      I used to think "guns dodn't kill people, people kill people" untill I got a gun in a dream and went trigger happy. I always turn evil in my dreams.

      In most of my dreams I seem to be good rather that bad....even while dreaming I seem to fear others opinion of me and thats really frustrating, but im working on it both in dreaming and reality.

      I guess it depends on how you look at it. Because you took the top secret envelope, the bad guy won't be able to find it or get his hands on it - maybe that is what he was after. You may have done the company a favor. Maybe the company was a bad one, and you stopped something bad from happening, so you felt good.

      Its not what you do in your dream life that makes you good or bad, but what you do in the real world. Since you appear to have though it was bad once you woke up, I'd say you aren't evil.

      'Good' is when you make people around you feel better (happy, lovely, peaceful). 'Evil' is when you make them feel worse (sad, guilty, hurt, etc). But this applies only for reality. If the only 'soul' in your dream is yours, have fun and do whatever you want. That includes , , , , and other stuff you might try .
