      Films dealing with Dreams

      Hey,
      Just wondered if anyone could recommend any films that deal with Lucid dreaming or dreams. The best ones I have seen include;

      - Waking Life
      - Vanilla Sky
      - Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind
      - Jacob's Ladder
      - The Last Wave

oh, and The Matrix to some extent
      Anyone know of any more?
      Are you dreaming or awake?

      here's a couple I could think of...

      Alice in Wonderland (any version)
Until the End of the World (Wim Wenders film...in my top ten...not yet available on DVD. UGH!!!)
      The Cell (j lo anyone?)
Dreamscape (mid 80's, cheesey and a bit dated, but I always liked it because of the 2 major themes, dreams and esp.)
      The Wizard of Oz

That's all I can come up with at the moment, but I'm sure I'll remeber more later on.

      Hypnosis movie

Not specificially dreams, but Stir of Echoes dealed with hypnosis, and was weird.

Oh, Sunshine of the Spotless mind was awesome. That part where he tried to turn that guy around but you only saw the back of his head was freaky.

Parts of that movie is very similar to the darkness feeling that comes around when I am in an LD and starting to awaken.

      What Dreams May Come!
      Lucid Dreams (more precog here)

I also know of a few TV series that also deal in the same matter (don't laugh, I watched some of them when I was little only), and Video Games, too:

      Spongebob Squarepants (Sleepy Time)
Ozzy and Drix (The Dream Factor)
      Timon and Pumbaa (Fi-fi-somethingorother)
      Garfield
Jackie Chan Adventures (Sheep in Sheep out [not the part where the sheep dies, but when he enters Jade's Dream, and she summons a Loch Nes on some shadowkwan])
      Pokemon season 4 (Sick Daze)
      Super Mario Bros 2
      Legend of Zelda: Links Awakening
Second Sight (though it is more of a Precog dream he has, it is still a dream)

      The Lathe of Heaven

Oh I just remembered, "The Lathe of Heaven".

I like the old one, as his dreams actually change reality. Haven't seen the new one.

The Cell, Butterfly Effect and The Matrix are pretty dreamy. And (don't laugh) Nightmare on Elm Street.
