I meditate from time to time. I am also big into visualization. i am always trying to picutre, smell, hear, taste, things that exist in my mind. Lol that sounds freaky, but its just something i do mostly for reading. I lvoe to read and when i read the words disappear and Im there, with all of the sneces. So from time to time i like to see if i can do it from my own internal dioglouge.

      try to be psychic[/b]
"Try to be psychic"? What an immature, nonobjective and preset to failure way of phrasing that.
However, personally, I prefer meditation for many a reason including relaxation, my most preferred aspect, however, being the training of conceptual thought usage through it. After all I do not know of a better way than mediation to really concentrate on any task or matter (except lucid dreaming of course).

Lucid dreaming techniques are self hypnosis.

I have studied remote or distant viewing and dream sharing. Because I believe that our conscious could very well reside at any given point at any given time,, aside from the future.
Subjective though. But this may be a good reason why I do not believe at this point, physic phenomena > True seeing into the future. I have my own ideas of how some physic achievements have been proclaimed. That is an entirely different topic I guess.
I have has no conclusive evidence of my own to share on RV DV or DS. But I seek!

      And meditation...What Merlock said.

I meditate on occasion. I also practice self reflection every single day. Self reflection being that when I have an emotional response to something, usually a negative response such as hurt feelings or anger, I will try my best o analyze the feeling and determine why I feel that way.

I am always feeding my mind by trying to experience and learn everything I can. I also try to conditiobn my mind every day by trying to think kind thoughts about everyone.

As far as psychic stuff, nah. I'll leave that for others

How about when my mind merges with my Nintendo DS, and I notice nothing else besides that?

LDs are the best thing, though I think they can be altered a bit by luck to DS, or sometimes having those really cool ...? dreams!

And as for 'not so normal and very freaky' things, I can be a somewhat guess wizard, I admit (especially at Card Concentration for the DS), and I do play Telephone with Michelle (it's fun, and it's better than exhausting your voice talking)...and the best thing is that the LDS church made a place for people that are mentally impaired, but when Michelle arrived, they made an area especially for those that are mentally enhanced, and we can do things like Lottery Bingo, Telephone, and whatever we want, provideth we don't try to find out the answers when they combine all of the groups together (les we get disqualified).

Other than that, I usually stick to LDing! What could be better?

And shouldn't this thread be in Beyond Dreaming or the Lounge, since it really has nothing to do with LDing?

Also, I have this thing I do w/ my horses when Im w/ them (I have 3). Its not like Im trying to be the "animal psyhic" or something like that but I try to calm/soothe and communicate w/ them thru my mind/ feelings/emotions. I learned a very long time that horses sense your fear. Thats true and I suppose that from that fact I felt that if they can do that then they must be capable of other extraordinary things. I have a bond w/ them and even though it sounds silly I have the feeling that they can read my mind/feelings/emotions by the actions they sometimes present after we have a "moment".

I view my involvement in music very much as a spiritual experience - and my photography as well. Practicing the arts in general qualifies as the sort of "mind related" thing you are looking for, IMHO... at least I THINK this is what you mean.

And I practice the 10th and 11th Step of AA:

      10. Continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong promptly admitted it.

      11. Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God as we understood Him, praying only for knowledge of His will for us and the power to carry that out.

Besides LDing, I am trying to begin work on using self-hypnosis to aid in my martial arts studies. Time Distortion is also an interesting phenomenon.
