Perception

So, when you dream about taking astep, you will RC and realize you are dreaming. *
'Realizing' everything as a dreamscape works in much the same way. If you 'realize' the waking world throughout your day you will eventually 'realize' the dreamworld.
Good Luck *
Indeed, and don't think there's anything hard about what I mentioned. I simply meant pretending like you're dreaming by looking at (and otherwise perceiving) everything around you as if it were a dream. This will make you more aware during the day, and thus, it will also make you more aware during your dreams.
Autosuggestion
Also, if you want to increase your amount of DILDs, you might try autosuggestion. This involves nothing more than telling yourself you want to have a lucid dream during the next night or in the near future.
The only important thing to remember in this case is that lucid dreaming is easy. Also, it's important to be patient, and know that you if you've failed once, you'll succeed some time soon.
Also, don't tell yourself something like: 'Tonight, I'm going to have a lucid dream!', as this might get you frustrated after failing once or twice. As LaBerge says in EWLD: "Look forward to it, but be willing to let it happen all in good time".
Doing these things will surely help you have your first lucid dream quickly. After that, you should to work on improving your chances of having a MILD.
I personally haven't been able to have a succesful WILD or MILD so far, but the techniques described about allow me to have 4 to 5 DILDs a month.
