      Losing it...

I am relatively new to lucid dreaming, and have had very little experience with it. I don't really use any "methods," except for will-power alone.

Whenever I do attain lucidity, I am overwhelmed with excitment. I either wake up or lose lucidity and the dream contimues as normal. What can I do to prevent this from happening?

Well, from my experience after you have enough short LD's you start to get used to them.
You will think, oh this is nothing knew, and it probably wont be as exciting at first.
Yup, from there just gotta keep your cool.

Determine how you're gonna stay stable! Remember not to get over excited, to do lucidity-strengthening techniques like hand-rubbing and spinning if you find yourself waking up, etc!

I can relate to what you're saying, Chris, I went through the same things as you not long ago, and after a month or so i think that experience and methods like Wolffe said will help no end...however, saying that, i still find it hard, but everything takes practise
