      Anyone ever get this

If I can't wait for the next day to come and I'm trying to go to sleep I will have this dream of a huge count down timer with a black background. It starts counting down from 10, when it hits zero I wake up. It's weird cause it seems like the dream is 10 seconds long.

      Hmm, never had this before.

I had something similar tho - in one of my LD's I decided to escape the earth. I was rising higher at very high speed. When I left atmosphere, all I saw was pitch black "screen". On this screen, I saw an explosion of words and phrases, made of red letters...
I dont remember what words said, but then I regained lucidity I was in a dream with extreme visual distortions and everything seemed very blurry.

That would happen to me all the tie as a little kid. I would go to sleep and then count to 10 and then wake up and it would be morning.

This just made me think of something, if we can defeat time in our dreams. Then it could be possible to stay in a lucid dream for as long as we wanted, say 10 years. And it would only last one night.

I heard one of my friends talking about how he saw a clock counting down the time and he also woke up when it got to zero. I never had the experience myself though.

Demo: Yes sometimes time does seem to extend! I had dreams that seemed to last for hours with all one theme. I think it works in real life too. Like when a lot happens in a short time it makes seem like a long time has passed.

Sounds like you have some kind of internal clock, er somethin.

      Wash day perhaps?

I remember one dream earlier on this week where it seemed to go on for ages, and when i woke up i expected it to be 6'ish as i felt i had that amount of sleep, but it was a mere half one.

Didnt feel any more refreshed for it in the morning though.
