Insultingly Stupid Dream Physics

Ok, back in this thread, Wayward brought up the idea of making an Insultingly Stupid Dream Physics thread, so here it is. The object is to post dream scenarios that were so incredibly far-fetched that you find yourself in awe of your own stupidity at having missed them as dream signs. Now, these aren't necessarily any and every waking-world impossibility that you encounter. Having a dream of, say, battling a Minotaur or Dragon can be pretty exciting and may suspend the desire to realize you're dreaming in the first place, so you don't have to post everything out of the ordinary, mainly things that are just so completely abstract that you have to stop and ask yourself: "What the hell was I thinking?" :neutral: (I'll post a few when I get around to it.)

Once, I found myself in a mall type shopping center place, and it was filled with water. It was even raining, inside. The roof was not detached in any way, and it was raining. The escalators were like weird waterfalls. You'd think that I would've realized, but no.....

this once there was a ghost following me, and i even said that i was dreaming, but i still didn't become lucid. I SAID IT! I was like: don't worry ghostie, we're in a dream. then i hummed and ran along and proceeded to become as unlucid as i could. what a waste...

I actually just took a nap a few hours ago, and I was in a school-like setting although there was barely anyone there. I heard music and said, "Where's that music coming from?" and I remembered that I had fallen asleep listening to music. I even said "Oh, this is a dream." I slapped myself in the face when I woke up.

I was in a bedroom... actually... to be totally honest, it was a sex dream... but, essentially I was in an indoor bedroom overgrown with vines, with a pretty high ceiling, and, it was raining. The most distinctive thing was the vines, they were like tree roots, massive, everywhere... But yah. The raining inside thing? Jeez. You feel like such an idiot for missing it, huh?

A couple of weeks ago, I had a dream where I was running around the campus in nothing but a pair of boxers, but they kept slipping, and I was wondering why I had left the rest of my clothes back at my dorm. I decided I would go hide in a stall in the bathroom, but it turns out the stall was actually a Mech Warrior-ish arcade game. I should have realized I was dreaming at so many points during that dream...

The most insultingly stupid one I can think of at the moment occured a couple of months ago when I was standing outside on the 3rd story balcony of my apartment at school during a hail storm on a brilliantly sunny day watching a T-Rex ravage the campus. I even noted how cool it was that we were getting baseball-sized hail on a sunny day. Of course, I didn't find the presence of an extinct giant reptile in the least bit unusual or disconcerting. And was I lucid? Nope. Not a bit. *face palm*

yeah absurdity like this happens in my dreams constantly. its really discouraging actually...to not become lucid when your dreams are totally insane....anyways ive dremt that i am a tiny little robot with all sorts of special tools and whatnot...ive also dreamt about aliens, if this counts..

I don't feel too bad about it, but when the shopping center turns into a water park, I mean, I should at least consider the possibility. Your dreams sounds pretty cool. I love the rain, so it's always neat when you have dreams about it.

Haha, Oneironaut, thanks for making a thread out of my idea! Well, I had one last night - I watched as a huge alligator - probably 15 to 20 feet long and massively muscular galloped after a poor, helpless neighborhood dog. The gator ran like a lion running after a gazelle, and then proceeded to leap into a canal like a gazelle might leap. Don't worry, a granny came by and shot the gator with an elephant gun before the pooch could be eaten, although the gator had morphed into a hippo-looking creature by then. Why didn't I question any of this? Doh!!!!

Once I turned into an owl. I had some fun flying around for awhile, but some annoying humans caught me and put some kind of tag on me. I got away (or they freed me- not sure which) and turned back into a human. Except I still had that stupid tag on me. I do flying and shapeshifting so often in dreams, you'd think I'd get the hint once in awhile and realize that if I just transformed myself into an animal, I'm probably dreaming.
