So, you find that you're in 3rd person when you become lucid? Personally I always end up in 1st person when I become lucid, but anyway... |

Hey, guys. From the few dreams that I actually AM able to recall, I usually dream in 3rd person. As I start going down the path towards lucid dreaming, I'd like to know if there is an easy way to push myself to dream in the 1st person. To me, that just seems more realistic (and, therefore, enjoyable). |

Hmm... to be honest, I can't remember what #-person my lucid dreams were in. I can recall standing in front of a mirror for one of them, and looking at myself, but I can't remember if it was 1st or 3rd-person, because either way I was looking at my external appearance... yeah, i know; it's a little trippy. |

Here's another thread about it. |

I'd check out the post that Burns mentioned but I wanted to clarify 1st and 3rd person really quickly. |

You know, I've only had a handful of 3rd person dreams in my life, and even those kind of boiled down to 3rd person moments of a handful of dreams. I'd be interested in knowing which psychological factors separate the tendencies to 1st and 3rd person dream. Hmmm..... |

Well you could use that 3rd person view as a kind of reality check...If you see you walking in a street, shouldn't you realise that your dreaming or something ? I guess it could help in some way...Then when you're lucid you can go back to 1st or IDK |

Wow, that's really facinating! I've never had a dream in 3rd person. It's always 1st person. I didn't really know that you could dream in 3rd person, but I guess that it wouldn't be impossible. |

My PoV swiches several times times in dreams. When I'm stuck in 1st person I sometimes find it hard to control myself. |
