      WILD's problem

Ok last night I tryed the WILD to get lucid. After failing many times I actually got pretty far. After the weird part where it feels like there is energy running all over you, I starting seening images and all. After about 20 minutes of this they all just stoped, and it was just black. And it was like this for so long I was starting to get sick of it because there was no dream that I could see so that I could enter lucid. So I just woke myself up because my nose was starting to itch lol. Then I tryed it again and failed. What am I doing wrong? I spent like 30 mins doing that and no dream came that I could enter.

I love how i can relate to people on this site.
Sorry, I cant help you Scott, but im right along with you, because the same thing happened to me last night. Can someone please tell me what the MILD and/or WILD is??? I have seen it a lot, and Ive read about it all over this forum and other sites, but I still don't understand completely. I will lay with my eyes closed for some time until everything seems to get even blacker, but after that, no dream ever comes.

The way I do it is focus on a task, ive said it in one of the other posts.. dont try to focus on nothing. try to focus on doing something this way you will really know when you awake in the dream world, everything explodes into existance and vibrance.

Perhaps if when you find yourself in that inky blackness try to create something , try closing your eyes again... and imagine yourself somewhere..

      Yup,

Like Seri said, don't try to concentrate on not concenrating, you'll get nowhere

My personal techniques is too kinda float along, towards the images that I see and when I get close to them, I try and "enter" them.

hmmmmm, I dont think i'm being very clear........Maybe you should just go with seriananth's advice.

      hehe

I think that makes some since. You mean just "go with the flow" of your thought. Any new picture, person, scenery, or thought that comes into your head you should try and focus on it, and then if you lose focus on that thought because a different one takes over, then try and focus on that one. Finally, after trying many different "thoughts" you will find the one that best comes to life and in turn lead to a lucid dream.

I tried WILD last night to get lucid but I'm no good at it. I thought I saw an image of an eye flash at one point and then some weird patterns, but I dont think that that was WILD's creation. I felt like my pinky was in sleep paraylisis but that's just because my head was on it.

      Later

Did you try doing it when you went to bed?

If so, it is extremely hard to do this, I myself have only been able to become lucid once or twice that way,
It works better if you set your alarm, for some early hour of the mroning, like 3 or 4 am, then wake up, get drink of water, pee, do whatever for half an hour, then try WILD, its much easier then trying it when you first go to sleep

ACTUALLY it's easier if you DON'T get up and do something. if you don't, you'll be sleepier and much closer to falling alseep. i've entered a dream FULLY lucid instantly that way.

unless...it's easier the other way for other people? nah..

Did you attempt WILD just when you went to bed? If so the reason for the darkness is probably because you haven't actually entered REM sleep yet which usually accours (?) 6 or so hours into your sleep so you would of been waiting awile...
Best thing to do is use that Wake Back To Bed Technique where you sleep for 6 hours, wake up, then attempt WILD because then your just about to start the REM sleep period.
Oh yeah and when you wake up wonder on over to the computer and read something about Lucid Dreaming because when you've just woken up your mind is sorta clear and if you read something on Lucid Dreaming your mind will be full of that and all it can think about then go to sleep and let the good times roll...

      Rock on.
