      Can you ask for Symbolism?

So unfortunately, at night I get too scared to focus on having a lucid dream
(what if I got stuck in a nightmere?!)
      and so I lose incentive
because of this, I've only experienced 1 low level lucid dream

so I have all my little dream books
and I read something on this
and I was wondering if anyone knew anything about it...

If you were to suddenly become lucid in a natural dream...
before you changed it, could you turn to a certain object, or person
      and ask for its symbolism?

      I heard that you can
and if your lucky it may turn into something more literal
or explain itself in some way

      However, because my little experience
      I really have no idea
soo... hopefully you guys know something about this!

To a certain degree yes. I remember I was in a lucid dream, and a dark band of clouds was coming from the mountains, at an angle. As I wondered "what does that mean?" the clouds re-arranged themselves into three ghost shaped figurines. It made the meaning a little clearer.
