My first (actual) LD!

Okay, first off, this is mostly a celebratory topic, for I was lucid last night! Not the crappy half-lucidity I got before, this was actual lucidity. I didn't remember it right after waking up, instead I found myself wondering what a successful nose RC feels like, and suddenly I knew what it felt like. I did another RC, and suddenly the memory came. I was standing in a dark school gym, I think it was empty, and did a nose RC... IT WORKED! (Duh) I just did the nose RC over and over and over, getting more and more excited... and I woke up. Damnit! Still, I WAS lucid, for real this time, and that is a very good thing.

The nose RC is my favorite, good job. Once you realize you're lucid take a sec to chill out and let it solidify. Getting too fired up always wakes you up. I use the rubbing hands method to give me something to focus on and relax. When you become lucid, rub your hands together and focus on the sensation. It will help to keep you from getting all excited and waking you self up. I also took the advice of another member and try to focus on all my senses to solidify my lucidity. Do I smell anything? Should I ? What's the tempurature ? Exercises like this will strenghten your control; you'll remember them in your next lucid ( at least I do ). Good Luck ! RC
