      Hi everyone,

I'd like to know, is it possible for me to encourage myself to have a certain dream? It doesn't have to be lucid, just a dream where I can practise for real life. I'd like to practise having a conversation with someone, practise what i'll say...etc if I can before doing it in real life.

Is this possible? I think i've heard of people doing it, but i'm not sure how.

      Thanks!

Hehe, I've tried something like that, didnt really work too well. The DC was talking nonsense.

Anyways, you may try dream incubation - imagine yourself having a conversation with that person. Think of the setting. Then focus on it for a while and forget about it. You may see that event take place in your dreams. But it may take a long time for this suggestion to find its way in your dreams.

A more active approach would be to have a LD and summon that person.

You may also try dream reentry - think of a very simple setting. A small room, a couple chairs and the person you want to talk to is sitting in one of these chairs. Hold this image in your mind for a couple minutes after waking up and you are likely to reenter it.

Thanks, i've looked up dream incubation on the net and found this site: http://www.lifetreks.com/lifetreks2/incubation.asp which seemed to make sense. Basically I repeat the question of what I should do in this conversation to get the whole dream of the conversation going I think. In some things I read it recommended the problem i'm trying to solve be at least a month old (not good, seeing as this isn't).

Having an LD isn't really an option, I havent had much luck with LDs lately... also summoning people doesn't really work for me in dreams...

I'll try dream reentry as well hopefully tonight and see if that works.

      Thanks!
