Sometimes my room gets a bit warm, And I have a fan beside my bad that i would sometimes turn on to cool me off. It's always on a low speed so it isn't loud, but it still has noise to it because its a 15 inch blade i think. Holmes fan.

Can sounds like a fan at night, make it harder to dream recall? I'm just wundering, because sometimes I have it on every night and I havn't dream recall in awhile. Might just be i need to work on dream recalls.

I dont think a fan can disrupt your dream recall or interfere with lucidity. That is unless it is squeaking or making some irregular noise. That makes it harder to fall asleep as the irregular noise is constantly catching your attention.

Sometimes external noises do hinder dream recall because they make people go into deeper sleep. But these are irregular noises like music or people talking

When I was younger, I always fell asleep faster when my parents where watching TV in the other room. School didn't start for me, So I'm still staying up a little later. If I have my fan on threw the night, I tend to fall asleep faster than without it. I guess I like having some simple sounds at night, the fan is just your normal "Air blowing out fan". I set my fan for a 30 minute timer, So it turns off after awhile. Now maybe I should leave it on maybe? Sometimes if I set it for 4 hours, I wake up almost 10 minutes befor my alarm will wake me up.
