Hi guy's, I'm new here. I've been a Lucid Dreamer all my life without knowing it. I became an (I guess) offical LD'er about half-a year ago. I joined this site yeasterday.

I've always have had a very strange dream life. I can tell you meny dreams that have occured to me, even some ten years ago.

My first "offical" LD happened about a month ago. I call it the "Lucid Osama dream". I was at a senery that I have dreamed a few times (I, on occation, I enter a past dream I have been in, and I change it or continue the dream "story"). I was at this camp ground. and my family was staying at a log cabbin. I was walking outside the house looking for our car so that mom could trive my family to some place. Well I was on the steps of the house and saw this old blue car parked under the stareway, I look inside expecting to see my family, but I see Osoma and Castro (the Cuban Dictator, sitting shotgun) siting inside holding weapons.
Out of fear I ran and found our family car and told everyone that I found Osama's hiding place. Next thing I know Osama is chasing me with a Ball-and-Chain weapon twirlling in the air. It was at that moment I thought, "hey, I'm dreaming!". So I magically took His weapon and started smashing him into the face . That was very a very bloody sene. It was a long time of me beating the heck out of Him with that gory weapon. That was cool, I did not realilize that LD's got so realilistic.

I can share meny more stories later. Feel free to commit on my dream.

      Genesis 40:8-22

8 "We both had dreams," they answered, "but there is no one to interpret them."
Then Joseph said to them, "Do not interpretations belong to God? Tell me your dreams."

9 So the chief cupbearer told Joseph his dream. He said to him, "In my dream I saw a vine in front of me, 10 and on the vine were three branches. As soon as it budded, it blossomed, and its clusters ripened into grapes. 11 Pharaoh's cup was in my hand, and I took the grapes, squeezed them into Pharaoh's cup and put the cup in his hand."

12 "This is what it means," Joseph said to him. "The three branches are three days. 13 Within three days Pharaoh will lift up your head and restore you to your position, and you will put Pharaoh's cup in his hand, just as you used to do when you were his cupbearer. 14 But when all goes well with you, remember me and show me kindness; mention me to Pharaoh and get me out of this prison. 15 For I was forcibly carried off from the land of the Hebrews, and even here I have done nothing to deserve being put in a dungeon."

16 When the chief baker saw that Joseph had given a favorable interpretation, he said to Joseph, "I too had a dream: On my head were three baskets of bread. [a] 17 In the top basket were all kinds of baked goods for Pharaoh, but the birds were eating them out of the basket on my head."

18 "This is what it means," Joseph said. "The three baskets are three days. 19 Within three days Pharaoh will lift off your head and hang you on a tree. And the birds will eat away your flesh."

20 Now the third day was Pharaoh's birthday, and he gave a feast for all his officials. He lifted up the heads of the chief cupbearer and the chief baker in the presence of his officials: 21 He restored the chief cupbearer to his position, so that he once again put the cup into Pharaoh's hand, 22 but he hanged [c] the chief baker, just as Joseph had said to them in his interpretation.

Don't you find it odd that you do the same thing in a Lucid Dream that you would do in an Ordinary Dream? It is as though your becoming Lucid did not matter for anything.

Perhaps, you should have used your Lucidity for the advantages of the insight it could have conveyed to you.

What insight? Well, for one thing, you KNOW that the only thing Castro and Bin Laden have nothing in common except that your cultural experience has defined them to you as something of generic enemies, like Hitler was for one generation, and the Kaiser was for another.

But was engaging in close combat REALLY the intended outcome? Be honest. How did it REALLY work out? I honestly doubt whether you were able to so easily dispatch Bin Laden in your dream. Ordinarily Dream Enemies either hold their own, or they are transformed into new friends and allies.

Of course it makes a better story to tell everybody that you beat Bin Laden to a bloody pulp, and there really are so few of us that know that that is not really how dreams work... I rather suspect that you either woke up in a sweat, worried that Bin was gaining on you, or you became the best of friends and would be ashamed to say so.

But it IS your dream and so I suppose you think you can turn it into any kind of story you like.

      Question

I"m not lying. What is so unreal about my Lucid dream? If you imagine in your dream that your enemy is real, with physical atributes, then he IS during your dream.

The reason I had the two appear in a dream was because my friend and I made Castro and Osama roomates in the game: Sims2. That was why I had a dream with them together.

Do you think I really had lucidity guys? Sometimes I just "play along" with the plot the dream gives me. Sometimes I don't check if unreal things are unreal things. However I do remember myself telling myself in the dream "Hey I'm dreaming!" Maybie I was thinking to much about the fact I was thinking about thinking about geting Lucid. I think I was lucid, after all I over came a nightmare.

I had another strange dream last night.:

My friends and I were somehow sliding, yet hovering, down this long road together. I was not going as fast as them so I gained more speed. I eventually got out of control and went way ahead of my friends and crashed into a gate at the end of the road.
I was in this place filled with Mexicains and they were having some Birthday party for some little girl. I looked over to their house and saw this guy sitting down with one of those big hats. He was holding a green hose and was poring dirty water into this cup (the cup was inside a larger cup). He asked if I was thirsty, and I said yes. Being polite I drank out of his cup. It tasted like Iodine, or Well-water, very nasty.
Eventually my friends came back and all got to drink from that cup. I noticed that there was a grey skin on top of the water at that time. After someguy was saying random things to me in spanish we decided to leave with my friends. Uppon leaving I see this Mexican laying next to the road. I found that very odd almost unreal or unlikely, At that point I noticed I was LD'ing, but woke up out of the excitement.

I seem to only get LD's the DILD way. - what do you guys think about my dream?

Well, notice that we have more of a conclusive outline of what happened than a descriptive narrative of what happened. hell, he was there in his own dream. So why not a descriptive narrative. Instead that we have a asserted conclusion. Seems like the boy is covering.

As we already know that lying and lucid dreaming go together. Look at the Poll being taken about Sexual Cheating. It seems that about 85% of the Lucid Dreamers think it is okay to lie about sex in their dreams.

So lying may be somewhat chronic, now, don't you think.

Then there is my experience of how Dreams seem to work. I've never had a dream in which I was able to cruelly beat anybody to a bloody pulp. I simply don't know what hire purpose it woud serve. Now I have had battles in me an an enemy fought to a draw. I have had dreams where an enemy and myself came to a peaceful understanding. I have had Adrenaline Dreams where I have vanquished enemies, but this involved a time slow down which our new friend does not describe.

And without a detailed narrative, I can only suppose he was somehow ashamed of the real narrative ending of his dream and simply concluded with what he thought was a plausible ending. After all, part of the the Lucid Dreaming Propaganda is that "one can control dreams to end anyway one wants", and so how could any Newbie ever suppose they could ever be caught in a lie?

So, yes, I do sometimes think the newbies sometimes yank us around figuring we'd believe anything.

Okay, now THIS seems like a true dream narrative, and a reasonably Spiritual Dream, though in its context it is showing us that to him Spirituality is somewhat 'alien' (Mexican). The Crashing of the Gate shows that he has gone over past into the Threshold of higher Spirituality. The Party Celebrating the Birthday of the Little Girl is indicative of the Realm of Goddess Innocence. The Cloudy Earthy Water from the Garden Hose is an organically rich Living Water. Our Dreamer was absolutely inspired to Drink it instead of rejecting it. This was a pivotal decision and he made the correct choice. Wew! That was close. What this gained him was Higher Spiritual Sponsorship.

Now, the Mexican laying by the side of the road which startled our Dreamer into Lucidity was his own Future Dream Persona -- His Higher Spiritual Being which he will grow into now that he has been drinking of the Living Water of Spirituality. It might take a few years. And yes, Spirituality will come to seem less and less Alien to our dreamer as time goes on.

      Cool

Wow that was a great interpretation! Thaxs a lot man, but can you tell me what my first dream means?

Let me describe the first dream a little more to you:

When I saw that Osama had a ball-and-chain twirling in the air I jumped into my family car ware my Mom, Bro., and Sis. were. Somehow the weapon missed me (after Osama through it at me) and just appeared inside the car as I was about to get my feet in.
Getting into the car took a great deal of strength, and it felt like I was crawling into a hole to get in the car. hard to describe it, but the car seemed to be much like a car and much like a hole at the same time. Well, when I got a hold of the weapon I realized that I can do what I wanted to do (that is, to protect my family and at least hurt Osama). At that point I realized I can change a nightmare in my favor, thus making me realize that I was dreaming.
after I hit Osama in the face he fell to the ground and blood was gushing from his face near his eye. I felt and overwhelming feeling of accomplishment and power at that time. So from my power rush I started hitting him again, but I was quickly waking up after the 2nd hit.

What was strange about this dream was that Osama's body was very physical, meaning that when I did hit him he was a solid object. In most of my dreams people are not physical, but not in this dream.

I must say, I did "physically" hit Osama twice. The other times I may have just started waking up, and my mind was thinking hard about attacking again, yet awake.

      ----------------------------------------

What can you tell me about this other dream. I had this dream about a year ago, but is still fresh in my mind. I don't consider it a Lucid Dream.:

I was flying inside my church (I was more like swimming in the air) for some strange reason. In my dream I had to keep finding these red water-fountains within the church to survive. You see, I kept running out of air so I had to drink from the water-fountain to get some air. When I turned on the red fountains this blue, floating fire like substance came out and I had to drink it. To better describe it, it was kind of bubbly and blue, yet it reassembled the shape of fire (It also floated).
So I was flying all around rooms, in the church, to find these red-fountains to drink oxygen from. Eventually I went into the sanctuary. I saw this woman (she was the Elf-queen from The Lord Of The Rings, if you ever saw the move) and she was warring a long bright, white rope. She was pointing to yet another red-Fountain in the middle of the sanctuary, she was implying that I drink from it. So I drank from the fountain and I got my lungs and my gravity back from it's healing powers. You see, I was walking again and did not need to seek water-fountains to survive anymore.

So you WERE calling him a lier, you just made a really really really really really really long post telling me why.

And just because you weren't able to beat someone to a bloody pulp, doesn't mean he couldn't. It's easy. Sure, he COULD be lying. But usually when someone posts a dream you don't post immedietly "I think you're lying because *insert reason here*" Unless of course it's a foolproof reason
