So after making a big thread a week ago how my mom wouldn't let me take B6, I bought my own. I took 50 mg a week ago, 100 mg 6 days ago, and 200 mg last night. Both times, I remembered zippo dreams.

      My night:

I played GTA on my PSP until 12:00 AM
I fell asleep at 12:40 AM
I woke up at 3:30 AM remembering a nightmarish lucid, breaking my dry spell
I woke up at 5 AM because of my alarm. I took 4 50 mg B6 pills
I fell back asleep at 5:30
I woke up at 8 AM (earlier than usual) with no new dreams.

What happened? The B6 must hate me.

PS. It's my 3-month anniversary of starting lucid dreams/singing up today.

From what I understand vitaman B which includes actually a group of eight vitamins, which include thiamine (B1), riboflavin (B2), niacin (B3), pyridoxine (B6), folic acid (B9), cyanocobalamin (B12), pantothenic acid and biotin.
They aid in the central nervous system and it's proper functioning.
So this tells me that a good functioning nervous system would aid in any mental task, such as lucid dreaming.
BUT..If you are not deficient or lacking the source, then there would be no reason to take more
In all likelihood it will not have any effect at all.

Check out The Pharmacy and also B6 in the Tutorials.
There is a lot of information on the B vitaman.
But that is my general assumtion. Loading up on this vitaman will not help produce lucid dreams. Nor will larger than average amounts of any mineral, substance, herb or drug.
The body works most efficiantly when it has the proper amount of all the combinations for it to function.
If people ate a well balanced diet, then vitamans are not necesarriy. They are supplements. Meaning in replace of something missing. So by taking larger doses your body will just excrete the extra amount or in the case of some vitamans it can store up in your system and cause issues, toxicity.

Bananas contain tryptophan, which the body breaks down into serotonin & melatonin ~ serotonin is one of the neurotransmitters that helps us lay down new memories, and also helps us to think critically & retain self-awareness, melatonin helps us fall asleep. (See for example http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tryptophan),

During REM sleep serotonin levels normally fall very sharply (which is one of the reasons why dreams are hard to remember) so supplementing with anything that increases your serotonin at night should help your dream recall, and also increase your chances of becoming aware/ lucid while you're dreaming.

Cheese & chocolote, peanuts etc also contain tryptophan & should also help with dream recall & awareness, etc, especially if you eat them at night in between waking & going back to sleep again. That's the theory anyway...
