      Proof of lucid dreams?

      When talking to friends, occassionally some find it hard to believe that you can be awake in your dreams... is there any scientific proof that it does exist? anyway to monitor brain waves or something for activity?

      Bring them to a computer and show them this site, then go to links and click on all of them. Then go "See all those people have them". That should be more than enough proof. Other than that, yea I am sure there is scientific proof, but any reasonable person would take your word for it.

      Yea. Books have been written about the subject. Exploring the World of Dreaming is one.

      Also the Lucidity Institute exists and you can always show them the website.

      And if they don't believe it after that, don't waste energy on them.

      For some people, the only way they'll believe in something is if they've experienced it. After my first LD, I knew for a fact they were real. But then again, I always believed that they were possible.

      Yea, it's their loss if they don't want to look into it.

      [size=18] THERE IS PROOF

      Because Scientist did not believe you could truely be concious in your dreams Stephen LaBerge (Author of Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming) Thought of a brilliant Idea.
      Idea- To prove to the scientist that he was aware while dreaming, they decided on a predetermined Task. Well since your eyes are the only part of your body that moves to responses in your dream- because of sleep paralyisis, they decided opon this.
      He was going to go to sleep. With all the monitors hooked up to him to assure that he was in REM sleep he told the scientist that opon becoming Lucid he was going to move his eyes back and forth in succesion four times. Which he did. Which also shook up some of the narrow minded scientist because there was now PROOF that he was concoius!!!!

      This might be a tap off-topic, but oh well:

      I remember one time in english we were doing debates. One day, tem minutes into class, we all agreed about the topic. So the next time the teacher did a debate, she paid five of us $10 each to be antaganists (sp?). Funny, eh?

      If only everyone could experience what we do in the dream world.... Since they don't some don't believe or just think we're crazy. To bad an account of our experiences may not be enough proof. I have another life in my dream world.... or that is what i strive for. Proof or no proof.... Lucid dreaming just is!!!

      Yes. We know.

      But you have to consider the fact that some people just don't care.

      I hate it when you tell it to people they're like, yeah I do that all the time when they're just, like trying to impress you or something, dunno what it is, perhaps they dont understand correctly or they're just trying to 'fit in' if you understand what I mean.

      I know exactly what you mean. Somtimes you do not even feel like trying to explain it. I think you are right in the aspect that maybe they just don't undrestand.
