I'm curious as to whether the feeling of desperation, or the absolute need for a lucid dream has any effect on whether you attain lucidity or not. Yesterday was an all-time low for me-- just a bad day in general. As I was getting ready for bed, I began thinking what a world of good a long, detailed lucid dream would give me-- and I felt like I really needed it-- that it would make me feel a whole lot better if I managed one that night.

Surprisingly enough, I had a long series of three lucids in a row during the early morning hours. They were my first lucids in quite a while-- it had been a few weeks since I'd last attained lucidity. Is there a good chance it was the feeling of desperation that brought it on, or was it purely coincidental?
