      hey, ok question:

can you meditate listening to music? liek a CD in my cd player and focus on the music and the music only without thinking..would that be considered meditating?

Well, you could listen to "hemi-snyc" music (i think that's how you spell it). www.bwgen.com There is music that actually makes you meditate better and stuff by changing your brain waves and after doing it for a while every day for maybe a week it should get easier to change your brain waves by will. Right now I'm listening to one of them right now...

this is what i do, i try to be aware what going in my body, like when u breath, try to feel in going in and out of your nose, also sit up straight and aline your chakras, but make sure your comfy. also i wouldn't reconmend lisening to regular music because it will prolly distract u and cause thoughts to work themselves into your mind. what really helps me is when i lisen to that crazy frequency shit, the brain wave generator program or something. if a thought crosses your mind, while meditating just accept it and let it float away without dwelling on it. thats just some of the stuff i do, but whatever floats your boat u know...

that do you mean by accepting a thought? is that like different from trying to ignore it or push it away? or do you just think about it for a second, then go "ok, thats nice" then forget about it...?
All I know is that i don't know nothing.

yeah tim it is different b/c if u try to ignore them or fight them its just going to be harder to acually clear your mind. when a thought pops up just pretend its on a cloud, u have seen it, your not fighting it, u accept it and let it float away. i think i got the idea.

I can meditate sometimes. What really helps me is when i do it in the wilderness. Sit on a rock with no man-made objects around and listen to the woods. I have done it naked because that can help free yourself (quiet all you making stupid jokes and puns right now), but that can hurt too.

well its not the naked thing, i have only done that once and it didnt help. It is just the peace of nature and the absence of man-made obstructions.
