Attaining LD under the influence of psychoactives?

I am just curious to see if anyone has done this before. IF your psychoactive state has already been changed by these drugs then I'm sure if you could attain lucidity while under the influence it would make for some wild dreams.

If you don't want to comment, take the anonymous poll!

I personally have never been able to attain lucidity while high or tripping, but I am not experienced at lucid dreaming, only having had a few lucid dreams.

I posted none. I will drink a little, but that is as far as my chemical use goes.

I prefer to have natural lucid dreams. with my natural, conscious mind, without the aid of any drugs.

Psychoactives have the power to induce LD like experiences. But it's almost impossible to control them. If your mind receives minimum sensory input, you will not go in a dream all the way.

My DMT trip had a lot of LD like elements.

That sounds reasonable. You usually don't have much control over your thoughts when tripping out.

Holy cow.You mean you are suppose to be sober whaen you go to sleep? That is what I have been doing wrong!!! J/K

Actually it sucks but I am under a prescrition drug which would fall under that catagory and I do feel it has hampered my abilities for Ld's. Somtimes you have to make a choice

Yeah, I am not experienced enough yet to have a lucid dream while intoxicated. The drugs, be it alcohol or marijuana in my case, cause me to lose focus and make it difficult to do the MILD technique to prepare myself.

What I really wanted to know was details about a Lucid dream experience while someone was under the influence... How it was different, were there things you couldn't control, were things more vivid? etc...

PS. Check out www.erowid.org for more information on psychoactive plants and their effects.

It seems that drugs that are sedatives take the ability to remember away. psychodelic drugs hamper your ability to go to sleep. Either way they do not seem to mix well with LD's

sorry to dig this one up guys, but I was wondering if anyone has attained psychoactives under the influence of LD's?
If you have experienced them in reality, do they have a similar effect in your dream? Do they even have an effect in your dream? and would it be possible to go deeper in your subconsciousness since thats what it does in reality?

So what you're asking is if we have ever found any drugs in our dreams and used them while lucid? I cant imagine anything that you would ingest while dreaming could cause halucinations IN your dreams, but psychologically having known what the effects of the drugs are you could possibly get effects from using "dream drugs".

Maybe I'm just totally off-base and didn't understand your question.

Well the reason im asking is that I had a dream the other night. It was just before I woke up, and I realised everything looked really clear and sharp. I met up with an old friend of mine and he said, "have some cannibus gum" so I had some, and for some reason I felt really stoned, mostly my body, and my head felt unstable. That was kinda weird since its my first account of feeling in my dreams. I have never gone lucid so it might have a different effect since your conscious. But I was thinking about it and pondering if you can expand your creativeness by going deeper into your dreams. Im just looking at ways to take advantage of your dreams to have the edge in reality, so it might be possible to do something crazy to have a greater understanding.

I smoked pot one night before going to bed and I still was able to lucid dream but it the effects were probably worn off by then. (I mostly become lucid later in the morning before I wake up.) Now I read somewhere that marijauana usage in general decreases REM. I have noticed that I have had less dreams but I think its more because I don't get enough sleep. Who knows though.
(Not sure of the general consensus about drug (specifically marijuana) usage on these forums but I decided to be open about it. )
