I said all, because its all you can pretty much do every thing in a LD anyway.

The reason to Lucid Dream is so you are able to do anything you pondered on, though about, or wanted to... at a moment you normally would be completely unaware of everything and being controlled by your subconscious. That's my reason.

I really enjoy all aspects of exploring my mind. Its incredible what it can do if we practice and do the right things. Lucid dreaming is just a part of what we can do. I personally like to have control over my own mind.

My main reasons are adventure, mind control/psionics, and I enjoy chaos in that order.

My main reason is to explore what my subconcious comes up with more vividly. When I go lucid, I try to make the dream as vivid as possible out of habit before doing anything. Everything else is just an incredibly nice bonus.

Other. Tough question... one I've never really asked myself in quite this way.

I'm reclaiming something from my youth that was lost, for starters.

I want to add the conscious time to my life... live to the fullest. Claiming even part of the time I spend dreaming is adding to this experience of living tremendously. Even when the LDs aren't happening, just practicing dream recall is being able to enjoy and benefit from that time.

And... it's a flippin' blast! I don't look at it as adventure at all, though adventure certainly can be part of it. How about just for the fun of it all?

I like the discipline of it, too. That could fall under your offering of "practice and study," I guess.

i chose all.

i mainly became interested in lucid dreams because dreams seem to me like the perfect way for inspiration, enlightenment, etc. i'm relatively un-creative and i'd really like to be the opposite and i feel dreams can help me out.

adveture is obviously a reason because i've always wanted to experience completely surreal and creative looking worlds and be able to interact with them and go on adventures. lucid dreaming makes that possible.

sex is mainly just a secondary thought once i'm in a lucid dream. its cool and everything, but i don't think i would waste all my dreams on sex because it can be done in real life and i'd like to save dreams for something unreal.

i'm not sure how much i'm into studying my lucid dreams, but i would like to learn as much about them as a can and maybe achieve lucidity on most nights and maintain good dream control, so i guess that could be considered practice/study.

not so much spiritual, but i do think dreams are a way for god to send me a message if he needs to.

etc.

What about self discovery or attempting to contact your subconscious? Banishing nightmares? Facing your fears? For relaxation? Scientific exploration? Curiosity?

My answer wasn't on your poll.

For me, I love the impossible and enjoyable experiences that reality cannot provide.

It just never gets old to come to the realization that I am awake in my sleeping mind. Mingling with my obscure subconscious mind.
Always something new.

I usually lucid to find what kind of crazy scary situations and demons my inner conscious can conjur up. I'd still getting my lucid skills perfected to a lucid almost everynite before I continue my experiments and get into more complex and complicated ideas.

I know it's going to be extremely useful if I can just get better at it.
