I was so close to being lucid in my dream. This is what happened. In my dream I was in my house and it was dark and I went in my back yard because I wanted to ask my brother something and he was outside. Well when I went outside a guy came out of the bushes and dunked me in this big pond of water. He was trying to drown me but I was able to breath so I then realized I was dreaming. But there was so much stuff happening that second that the first thing that came to mind was me being in my room. I appeared in my bed in my room. I thought I had woken up but I realized some things were different and I still felt like I was in a big pool of water. Then everything started turning all black and i woke up. When i woke up i was kinda angry because I wasn't able to do anything even though I knew I was dreaming.

EDIT:sorry if this is the wrong section to post this

      Keep at it!!

I just started trying to Lucid Dream again after 10 years, and so far, the tutorials etc. here have been really helpful. Just keep focusing on writing journals of dreams, highlighting key points, and constantly asking if you're dreaming during the day.

You'll eventually get it, and when it happens it's exhilerating... just... when you succeed, if you mess it up right off the bat, don't be too hard on yourself, and don't give up like I did when I was younger.
