Strapping any device to your head and believing it will give you lucid dreams will itself increase the likelihood of lucid dreaming. So there saying make yourself believe if you goto sleep with that on you'll have a lucid dream
It might work if you can make yourself believe beyond a shadow of a doubt that it'll work
