Probably because I never have a solid idea of what my plan is- they always feel unexpected, even if I had expected to do so before I fell asleep...
Anyway, inspired by NBC's awesome show "Heroes", I now have that solid idea-
I'm gonna be a super hero!
The way I see it, I can kill 2 birds with one stone-
If I think about being a Super Hero all day, and TRY to do something "super", then not only is this habitual thought going to carry over into my dreams, but it can also serve as a reality check!
Got a quick question I think you pro lucers can answer:
What's the best way to remember something?
Do you remember more by thinking it, saying it, seeing it, or feeling it?
I could think about being able to fly, or tell myself that I can go through a wall, or pretend that I'm seeing myself creating fire out of my fingers, or I could try and feel invisible?
Something along those lines, you know?

Funny you should ask that, my boyfriend and i were talking about this the other day.
He told me that when he wanted to have a lucid dream, he'd go to sleep imagining he was a superhero. (in his case, spiderman)
He then said that he always realised he was dreaming.
He told me that the best way to do this was to sit and play the computer game, because by the time you go to bed, it's already in your head, so to speak.
It would depend on what you're trying to do.
Someone once told me that, if you wanted to fly, the best thing to do would be to imagine while awake what it might feel like to fly, and try to imagine it as realistically as possible, and it might carry over into your dreams.
Sorry i can't be more help!
