Sometimes when I LD and there is something cool in the dream I like- clothes, a purse, etc. I'll think, "If only I could take this thing with me when I wake up." Wouldn't that be awesome if we could do that?!

      That would be very cool!
Let's just say I'd have a little more money

It reminds me of dreaming about searching for a bathroom and finally finding one after what seems like hours of searching. Only to wake up and have to do it again, only if it was transfered to waking life I would be able to go back to sleep.

I wish I could've done that in an LD I had recently.

I was in the house out in the country where I grew up. I realized I was dreaming (that house is a dreamsign of mine) so I decided to go explore it. I walked into the house to see everything exactly how it looked when I lived there as a child. I went upstairs to my bedroom and went over to my dresser. Sitting on it was a music-box mirror that played "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" as a little white dove danced and spun over the mirror's surface. I thought to myself - "wow! I haven't seen this thing in ages! I forgot all about it!" I wished I still had it in real life.

I woke up, sad that I don't still have it. That would've been what I picked to bring back out of a dream.

I used to get a lot of stuff in a few dreams of mine. When I woke up, and I noticed that I didn't have it anymore, I always felt a little disappointed.
      Sure, why not?

I used to have a reoccuring dream. I would dream of a magical orb that I always felt like I had it before... it made me feel like I am at home with it. It had that loving warming feeling. I would often try to get it and when I am about to get it, I would wake up find myself sleep walking to get it. I wanted it so bad and I would be very mad that I didn't have it with me in real life.

I remember even falling out of bed trying to get that orb while sleep walking. With this dream, I always catch myself sleep walking and one day, I got the orb and teleported to the most wonderful rainbow-like sky cityscape in the cloud and I never had this dream again, nor do I catch myself sleepwalking again.

Even if I don't have those dreams again, I still find myself missing it even if it doesn't exist in real life. I would die for it if i have to, strange, but true. Have anybody ever had something like that... a special object in the dream that you wish you could bring over to your real life and you know that it's not possible in real life? Like my magical orb? I still miss it horribly and I dreamt of that when I was before ten (22 now :/). Weird eh?

*sighs* I want to dream of that magical orb again... thanks for refreshing my childhood memory... mmm...

Don't trust what you are seeing right now because you might be dreaming right now. Be LUCID! I repeat, be LUCID!

When I was younger, I wanted to take objects out of dreams. Now I don't care much about materialistic stuff, though.

Younger it happened a lot. The special toy you wanted, etc.

Now that I'm older, it's either a Ferrari/Porche/Motorcycle or a particular woman. I wake up wishing I could take them out of my dreams for sure!

I used to have these dreams quite a bit.

I would become lucid and find these objects that I wouldn't normally have anything to do with in waking life, like a violin or a small pet bird, etc. And for some reason I would want so badly to still have these things when I'd wake, but alas, never happens. I'd also feel greatly depressed for about a minute upon waking up. weird. what would i want with a damn violin?

      You're so minimalistic and deep.

When I was seven-ish, I had a dream that I actually owned a gameboy (I really wanted one at the time). When I woke up and didn't have it anymore, I nearly killed myself from the agony!

I believe it is possible when one's spiritual level is sufficiently high. (for example, maybe you could get gods/devas to give you things in dreams which you need in the waking world)

I have never experienced this as my spiritual level is low

that sounds like a load of bullshit. If a god was going to give you something (unlikely) why would you have to dream about it first? Seems somewhat fictional to me.

Oh I don't believe in that stuff, I'm a born-again Christian. I just thought it was a fun topic to talk about. The responses were very entertaining.

Everything has to come from a dream because without them we would have no goals. Now if you are talking about dreams as in sleeping and having them then yes your right.
Well i do always have dreams about what i want and that but i never get worked up about it. I also don't remeber having dreams about a desire of wanting becuase all my dreams were always nightmares.
Im not afraid of the dark, its whats in it.
*the lights turn off and the whole room goes dark*
Oh im fin- Ahhhhhhhh its a scary figment of my imagination.

      You suck at life.

Everything does NOT have to come from a dream (or aspiration, which is what I think you mean). I can think of plenty of things I have that came as a complete suprise and had nothing to do with the goals in my life.

From what I've read (Ajaan Mun's biography; he is a Thai Buddhist monk and guru who has passed away), a monk (not Ajaan Mun himself) described an encounter with a female deity (You can call her an angel. To Hindus and Buddhists, she would be a deva/god). The female deity said she could manifest in physical form too, appearing no different physically from you and me.

I suppose for some reason or other (maybe it is just easier for some people to communicate with gods/devas/angels through dreams than in the waking world), some deities find it easier to communicate with some people through dreams.

It's alright. I'm just here to share what I know (or what I think/believe I know). It need not be accepted. Cheers
