I've read many topics that describe certain things that should be done like, getting adequate sleep, reducing stress, so on and so forth. Putting that aside..

... Is there a difference between a person that watches T.V. day in, day out or has mind numbing jobs like a factory worker that does the same thing all the time and doesn't exercise the brain, or someone who is a scientist or does mind puzzles like sudoku/crosswords/logic problem solving on a regular basis during the course of their day?

All in all, does an active mind make a difference for attaining lucidity?

I think it does matter a little. It especially matters if you're trying WBTB. Try solving puzzles in the hour you're awake, or just do some maths. I've tried it a few times, and it worked fine for me.
      Sure, why not?
