      Ok i had an idea.
Its probably done before, if so, someone just delete it =D
Basically, how did you find out about lucid dreaming.
not how did you find about this forum, but lucid dreaming itslef
as the 2 may be completely different

I'll start, I was really bored one day, clicking on links on wikipedia, aI started reading about the matrix kind of theory that this could be a dream, and our dreams could be reality, but then it said something about this being applicable with only ordinary non-lucid dreams
So i typed in lucid dreams, and BAM
      read it, was deeply intrigued
      =D

A scientific magazine thing. They had an article about the mind and made a little notice thingy about lucid-dreaming. Just about 3 lines, but it was enough to make me search for it on google a year later.

      ---------
Lost count of how many lucid dreams I've had

I went to a dream interpretation website (dreammoods.com - before it looked all weird with advertisements), and somehow through links within the site, wound up at Dreamviews.com, which explains what LDing is, etc, etc, and I registered on the forum.

So the joined date in my profile is the day I found out that what I've been doing my whole life actually has a name - Lucid Dreaming!

Learned about it when trying to astral project. Although, at the time I thought, "Well that's pointless." but now after actually learning about it, I find it more interesting than astral projection (which I never actually figured out how to do).

I learned about LD on wikipedia too. I was looking at the article on sleep because I was worried that I wasn't getting enough. Then I clicked on the article for dreams, because I was curious, and then I saw lucid dreaming. I had actually had an LD long before, and when I read that, I was like, "That's what I had!". Then that night, I had an LD.

My brother told me that he has had a strange dream where he knew he was dreaming. He told me these dreams are called lucid dreams. So I looked up it on the internet and bingo - I am here...

That's funny, that's exactly what happened to me too. My Mom and I both have had the same recurrent dream, which is living in a big rundown house with a lot of rooms, etc., with variations (a common dream I think), so for fun we looked up the interpretation and one thing led to another. I realized that I have had occasional lucids thruout my life, altho I usually used it to wake up from nightmares. My Mom claims that she LD's all the time, but I don't think she quite understands it. She just remembers her dreams really well because of her weird sleeping schedule (kind of like polyphasic sleep.)

P.S. That's weird, I just realized I haven't had that dream in a long time! Not since I came here I think, I'll have to check my journal. I guess I was cured.

I was on some other completely unrelated forum, someone mentioned lucid dreaming and said how great it was, so I searched it, found this site, and the rest is history.

A long time ago I had a dream and out of the blue it dawned on me that I was dreaming. In the first dream I just wandered around, but after a few of them I tried manipulating the dream and stuff; and to my suprise, it worked
