The more threads here I read, the more I notice people talking about how their DCs are stupid, not very bright, only say mindless things, etc. Now, my DCs have never been this way. They all act very much like people I see in the waking world, and sometimes smarter.
This leads me to believe that, after coming here and reading all this, people expect their DCs to be dumb. And so, of course, they are. I believe this to be especially true of the people who have never had an LD before they came to Dreamviews.

So here's my question to those of you who could lucid dream before you came here:

Have your DCs always acted rather slow and wonky, or did they start behaving that way after you came to Dreamviews?

Since spending time visiting DV i don't take DC's for granted as much as before...i have become less of a passive witness in the regular dream state...now i am more prone to challenge DC's as to who they are and wehat they want by visititing me or if they are my DG's....if they aren't a DG they speak in riddles or fade out fast as if found out they were lingering for who knows why in my dreamtime as some movie extra who wants to be in primetime...i am less trusting now of the roles DC's play in my dreamtime....for example the other night i asked an acquaintance if they were 1. holding an event i know they had invited me to in the today world and 2. were they planning to come to an event the next day that i had invited him to....the answer to 1. was surprisingly vague (just like a dumb DC) and the answer to 2. was a firm no.....but in the today world he came to the event i had invited him to....so i was really surprised he came because before DV i would have taken his dreamtime answer to my question as the only truth. (hard to know if he had changed his mind or the Great Spirit did the usual behind the scenes organizing)...i find DG's and what happens in lucidity dreaming is truthful....(probably because that is what i am looking for)

Even though I have been surrounded by people saying how dumb their DC's are etc. Those DC's which I encounter are usually extremely complex and intelligent. If I was to encounter a slow and wonky DC I would probably go really lucid in a flash!

My DC have also been really smart aswell , they have told me some very important things , they also act symbolically in their actions , just that you have to be able to interpret them .

I've encountered all types well before I came here. Some who are eloquent, some who can't communicate at all.

True, over the years, some DC's have told me some intelligent and prophetic things, but...a couple night's ago, another DC with unusual communication method...

in the dream i'm back in the studio as radio rock jock, something i did for 15 years... interviewing Tiny Tim, the 6o's entertainer who sang 1920's ditties in a feminine falsetto, who is on the telephone for the interview.

Me: So... Tiny Tim, tell us what it was like when you were struggling to start your career while living in Greenich Village in the 60's along with such now famous folkies such as Bob Dylan?

Tiny Tim DC: no response...dead air 5-10 seconds or so, then i hear Tiny Tim DC fumbling with something that sounds like he is putting a cassette in a player....then i hear his response to my question...it is about 5-10 seconds of unintelligible nondescript meaningless audio.

Me: huh.....ah...Tiny Tim...Bob Dylan writes in his recent book 'Chronicles Vol. One,' when he was in the kitchen at a folk club in Greenwich Village where he was getting paid for singing with all the free food he could eat...that he was suddenly called away and gave you the rest of his french fries....Tiny, do you recall that event?

Timy Tim DC: again no response...dead air 5-10 seconds or so, then i hear the same fumbling and again the only response is about 5-10 seconds of the same unintelligible nondescript meaningless audio.

I woke up from this dream baffled.... as i have never interviewed Timy Tim when i was an announcer, but i had just read excerpts of Bob Dylans book on the internet in the evening before the dream.

I've had so many witty DCs that try to convince me they are real while many others are stupid and slow. dream views actually gave me wittier DCs after I read about sharing dreams

My joining dreamviews has not really changed my DCs. When they are people I know, they behave in the ways that they behave in real life, and the DCs that are made up by me vary. Sometimes I'm in a battle killing lots of DC orcs, but sometimes a DC is my guide, last time a mermaid or nymph or something who told me where to go.

A recurring theme here on Dreamviews.. this happens a lot.. but it doesn't make sense..

To explain: if Dreaming is a reflection of the self, surely one's DCs would agree with one's mindset about Dreaming? Yet so many people who aver that LD is "all in the head" report such "aberrations". Interesting.
