Hello. This is the first post on this forum, this is just what I have been looking for to try and explane things I experance during dreams.

Contery to what it says in the tutorials this is how I fly in lucid dreams. I first lurned quite some time ago before I knew about the word 'lucid'.

I run and jump leaning forward as If I would be about to land on my front and as I am doing this hold my arms out to my sides. This causes me to glide, down at first but more foward as I have more speed. To stop myself ending up just sliding along the ground I flap my arms slowly and ajust the speed as best to keep my arms pushing back the air back and propelling me forward and where needed up. As I get more speed less and less effort is needed to keep me afloat, however flying to high or fast results in walking up, probbebly for lack of refrances to keep me lucid and in the dream, and flying to low and slow results in landing, sometimes with a bump.

I have been running a website www.with-logic.co.uk (I apposigise in advance for any spam posts, I try and clear them on a regular bases). Inside the site you will notice among other sections in one about dreams, I will probbebly remove that now and just put a link to this site in my links thread as this forum makes mine seem utterly insignifigent. However I would still appreceate feedback.

Just to state that I am intrested in dreaming in a psychological\scientific way as opposed to a metaphisical\religious way.

I lurned to lucid dream early. I used to have verry vivid nightmares a lot. I eventually descovered that when I relised it was a dream nothing in it mattered anymore.

Howver today I find my lucid dreams don't last long enough as when I do have them I'm often nearly awake when they happen (or they last a verry long time and I don't remember much). Although sometimes I can have a nice long one. I am going to try at the next possible occation the spinning method to create a false awakening or the holding onto something to prevent myself being able to wake up as seggested in a site I read that is linked to this one.

Sometimes in dreams I feal compeled to do something irrationally edgy, something that is likely to turn the dream bad. Like in the film ExistenZ where the womman plugs herself into the diseased pod.

I often have dreams mixing verry artifical stuctures like grids of walls that are immposibly smoth, thin, large and of uniform collour with natrual landcape, cliffs, choppy watter, plants, tree's, desert, correl etc... and that the contrast can be much higher than in reality with vivid colours and sharp details and dark and bright regons etc...

Also I find that it is sometimes possible to move into the void inside walls, move along and then pop out somewhere else, or travel though a mirror into the space it looks like there should be inside it or into the fuzz on a detuned TV set to find all the fuz is actually just large cubes of difrent shades of grey flying about verry quickly most of which are in the distance. Whenever I push my way though something I feal the presure of the thing around me and it gives ressistance to my movement.

Which brings me on to physical fealings, as I have felt really odd fealings not just the usual movement realated ones but or scratchy\grainy surfaces, presure over my whole body, pulsing presure, being tossed around by water, extremes of hot and cold and sometimes rapidly alternating between the two, once even a painfull spike being driven into me. a coupple of times that I am week or dissy and cannot move much.

I like occationally to lie and relax but I have never had any luck with meditation or simerlar methods, I am too awake when I am awake for that. I find sometimes if I concentrate for a while I can get the whole room to seem to rock backwards and forwards it needs encourging to move a little at first and gradually get more, untill I move much then everything is back to normal. I found a little while ago that looking into a large mirror while in dark room and stairing at ones own eyes in the mirror could slightly effect you'r state, it works really well when you are tired and far less well when completly awake, I have not tried it for some time though as I never got anything apart from to make myself jump or feel for a moment as momenterally If I am falling out of it.

In the real world I can hear sounds of a higher freqency than most, including lights and a loud verry high freqency hum fron old CRT TV sets even when the volume is on 0.

Sorry I didn't totally read your post but I'd like to say I also am intrested in dreaming in a psychological\scientific and that I too hear the sound of TV (without sound)...I don't know if it's the case for everyone....

You don't need to bump in here, by the way. This place is pretty slow moving.
