i still have yet to have a lucid dream, but in my normal dreams, pretty much as often as always, i see from 3rd person. it seems like that's all it's ever been. is everyone different in that? do you sometimes have one or the other. am i the only one? it seems from what i've heard so far that it's usually 1st person. correct me if i am wrong. thanks...

I have had 3rd person dreams in the past, but most of mine are 1st person.

Most of mine are in 1st person but, every now and then, it'll switch to 3rd person, momentarily. Doesn't happen that often, though.

I have almost all 1st person. I have never thought about changing it while I was lucid, though (good idea&#33. I have had one dream where I switched to third person (that I can remember) and it changed to third person right before I woke up. It was interesting, but I did like the first person view more.

Always a 1st person view for me.
The only time I see 3rd person is when I wake up and imagine the dream from a different angle.

Hmm. Never really tried to control it, that I can remember. I'm sure you could if you tried, though. If you are lucid enough to exert some control, just try to visualize how whatever scene you are viewing would look, in 1st person, and it will probably switch.

hmm.... I think for the most part I'm in first person for my dreams. Though I do recall being in 3rd person a few times. It's nice sometimes because you get to sit back and observe the dream. Thats just me though .

I don't know if you can control it in a non - lucid dream. I'm certain though , if your lucid it can be fixed.

does anyone recall actually changing it mid-dream on purpose? (i mean with lucidity) i've changed before, but not because i tried or wanted to.

I've had primarily first person POV dreams, but now and then I'd get 3rd person POV, haven't ever changed views on purpose because I find 1st POV much more interesting and my 3rd person POV always make me go 'How is this *insert scene/people here* going to be of any importance to my dream at all?' I usually don't find out either because I tend to wake up before that happens, the dream ends, or I change the dream enough (while lucid) to prevent the usage/importance of that 3rd person POV moment

Mine are mostly 1st person too, but I did have a dream that kept switching from 1st to 3rd. I remember simply wondering what the scene looked like from above and it instantly switched to me watching the dream play out from above. After that the pov flicked back and fourth on it's own.

Slightly similar, (though not lucid) was a dream where I wondered what the scene would look like in black and white. My vision instantly changed to black and white. Perhaps simply wonder what a different pov would look like and it'll take effect.

Mine are usually 1st person. If they're not, they are 3rd person like a camera following a scene which I am not involved in, or else following an object like a car which I may or may not be in. I never have 3rd person dreams when I can see myself.

I have had a lucid where I have been watching myself, ie. there have been two of me. I spent some time shrinking myself with some success, although I kept growing back to normal size. Most dreams are in 1st person though.
