Really, have you? I mean, have you tried to either explain to them that it is real or tried to help them be able to have one? One of my friends, a fundementalist in their truest form, beleived that LDing was complete folly. He said that God would not allow it, that God made dreams, etc. I directed him to the thousands of people who reported their LD's. He still said they were lying. Yeah, he keep it up, until he had one for himself.

Also, for a project in college, I talked all about LDing. I explained dream recall, and explained MILD thuroghly. I thought WILD was kind of... wild for them. Anyways, alot of people still thank me for helping them to remember most of their dreams, and some even LD'ed.

      So, have you?

I've tried to get my one good friend into it, and she seemed interested at first. Really interested. She even made an account here, but never posted.
I told her about it because she really doesn't know what she wants and is having some tough times, and LDs can help with that.

I told all my friends about it, and most of 'em just shrugged it off.

But every once in a while my friend Jeremiah will be all "Soo Dan, have any Lucid Dreams lately?".

It SUX how people don't take this seriously

      Yeh, yeh.
Actually a few of them were pretty interested.
Speccially Lauren, but she's a super blonde- meaning she'll be OBSESSD about one thing and in twenty minutes she'll be all "Man I am BORED." lol.

I heard, though, that if you don't tell people about lucid dreaming, your odds of getting them go up because apparently you're supposed to keep it very personal and "sacred" or something.
'Course that was just some random dude's theory.

I told my brother-in-law about it because he's interested in learning dream control, and he said that he actually registered on DV but was waiting for an admin to validate his account. But that was a few months ago and I haven't seen him on here so I'm not sure what happened.

Yes, I have. I've tried converting a few of my friends once. One of them got interested for a short period of time and stopped. I also taught the aspect of LDing to my 9 year old cousin and we talk about it often. He's a natural, so yeah. I'm kinda jealous.

I heard that maybe 1 out of every 10 people are natural. Imagine how many of them don't recall many dreams!

out of the 5 people that ive really sat down with, and taught them the techniques, 3 of them have had a lucid dream already. All 5 people never even knew about lucid dreaming until i started having them and i had to tell them

i love when one of my "students" calls me all excited to tell me they had their first LD.

unfortunately ive only had 4 so far but im still having recall problems haha
      am i dreaming?

I've tried convincing people. I don't think it's so much disbelief that LDs exists as it is their doubting that it will happen for them. A lot of people will realize that they've had random LDs throughout life. Making them excited about having more, and command of, LDs is another matter altogether. Horse-to-water type thing. "Better than any drug on the planet" is my pitch line. Maybe I need a new one, but at least it's honest.

I remember a few years back for my grade 8 speech I did Lucid dreaming. I got a few people after the class asking me about how they can remember their dreams, or how they experienced what I've talked about but never thought anything of it. Though, that was a small percent. Most people couldn't understand it , the true meaning to be lucid. Sometimes when people talk about their dreams ( which happens never) I mention a few things that can help them out, then opening the idea of Lucid dreaming.

I got a few people for a period talking about it .I don't know if that would be considered converting or not.

I wish I could have these converastion more often, well I know I have you guys

Yeah you bet! only....the're either like "so what?" (in that case I don't even bother reply...) or "really....good for you but I prefer sleeping...." (well that's kinda...hem....your opinion man) or "it's not possible"....
In the best case: they get interested and stop after 2 nights of bad sleeping...
Only a close friend started getting into it...
      Getting back to LDing

I've had a lot of success with telling other people about lucid dreaming. I got my cousin to sign up, (he's Nicabrotha if you ever happen across him) I've got a few people interested in dreamviews from another forum. they say they've signed up but nothing else so far.

Most of the people I talk to are into video games and I tell them about how cool it would be to visit some of the locales from the games. other than that I reason what else would they do while they're sleeping anyway. Logic is an effective tool.

Okay, one kid I know of Lded before me in my school. Now 5 other people do thanks to my craziness. Of course I tried to convert a lot more people than that.
Reality? Where? Did I miss it?

i discovered LDs about 3 days ago, and since the first day i've started to convert my friends, [one of which got an LD [with little control] on his first try. He dreamt [dreamed?] he went to antartica with 100s of people and Al Gore to solve Global Warming but after they all died of starvation he was climbing glaciers and then realized he was dreaming. shortly after he lost control of the dream and woke up.

i also mentioned it to some other friends. one of them had an interesting story about how he had a collective dream with his older brother. he dreamt he walked along railroad tracks and looked up and saw his older bro on a hill and his older brother dreamt the same thing except he was up on the hill and looked down on his little brother.
