That's how my last 2 Lucid Dreams ended up...

I HATE that transition...I'll be having a lucid dream and it'll be fine, and then soon I loose my First person view and it becomes a day dream, and I can feel my body awake, but my eyes closed...

Last night, I was spraying the walls with paint coming out of my fingers and suddenly I see myself in 3rd person, and I can feel the sun from the window and the blankets on my body.

When this happens, is it totally impossible to return to the lucid dream, or could I try spinning some more? I hate ending LDs that way...

Yeah, I've never had this, but it sounds like you should spin a whole lot if you feel this start to happen.

I know exactly what you mean. It happened in my last lucid dream (that was probably only a few seconds long thanks to the fading thing). It's like you're dreaming, then you are just lying awake in bed with your eyes closed imagining. I hate it because you know that you're awake and you can't go on with the lucid dream even though you're still there. You know that if you try to do anything else, you'll just become more awake and it will become harder to focus, so you might as well open your eyes.

It is such a disappointing feeling, but on the other hand, you're happy because you lucid dreampt.

Edit: And, DarthDallas, it happens so fast that you don't have time to try to regain control by spinning.

Dude, I get exactly the same thing; except I wake up totally. I can usually re-enter by what I think is a form of MILD; I think of doing something, I.E., falling, and wait to fall asleep again. Then, when I do fall asleep, I find myself actually doing that thing, (actually, if I think of falling, I usually land,) and then I become lucid. But this is just a temporary fix; I still wake up. I've only had ten LD's so far, but this has happened in at least six.

That's exactly what I'm talking about, EJ. I HATE the feeling >_<

I'll try MILDing after this happens from now on, as PNG suggested - that makes senes to give it a shot.
Of course, unless it's 6:40AM and I know that I can't just lie there for 20 minutes x_x
