Two nights ago i had a semi-lucid dream i would like to ask a question about. I will describe what happened.

First i was walking through a nearby school yard with 4 friends at night, having a normal conversation, talking about the guitar class we share. As i was walking i looked up and noticed there were no stars. I relized that i am grounded for the next two weeks (which i really am) so why was i outside at night? I then came to the conclusion i was dreaming. To ensure i maintained lucidity, i brightened the sky like it was morning. Excited, I turned to my friends to tell them it was a dream. When i turned their demeanors had changed completly and they were very angry, almost devilish. Unexpectedly they jumped me and beat me up. The shock of this violence then woke me up, foiling a worthwhile lucid experience

I found this odd, that my DC's would revolt agianst me to destroy my dream. Is this common for relativly new lucid dreamers? Is it my unconsicious mind trying to kamikaze and prevent my control? Or am i just inexperienced and this kind of thing is common. I have had a few lucid dreams lately, since ive heard of them ive been addicted to their pursuit, and i find it easy to maintain control after i relize i am in a dream, this was my first failed attempt.

I just thought it was kinda cool and decided to share. Lemme know what you think. Sorry if i posted this in the wrong section, first post, wasnt really sure.

      Maybe they were night DCs?

So many variables, so little knowledge.

DCs can often be very random and do something you wouldn't expect at all.

Or maybe it's something deeper like a fear of your friends turning on you or something. It's probably just DC randomness.
