It seems I'm in a slump. I had just got to the point where I was having at least 1 or 2 LD's/week, which was my goal to accomplish. Lately I have not had any and I find it very hard to remember my dreams at all or have the desire to post in my DJ. It all stopped when I came under tremenous stress in my personal life. I hear that stress can affect your LD's. Funny though when I go to bed stressed I have LD's that are more negative in nature.

Anyway, everything in my life has seemed to normalize now but I still haven't had a LD in several weeks.Maybe I am getting lazy and needed the break but I just hate wasting so much dream time. There is so much fun to be had and lessons to learn. I am trying to get a copy of the movie Waking Life. I hope that watching it will awaken a new drive to LD on top of that this post alone may trigger something. It seems that I am constantly needing to find new ways to trick my mind into having a lucid dream.

I am curious, what do you all do when you are in a slump?

To be honest, when I'm in a slump I usually do one of two things:

1) Give up on lucid dreaming until I have one outof the blue
2) Start again like I'm just beggining

The later is probably you best option (because well the first one is really me just being lazy), though there is a rather lovely tutorial here that might help.

Heh, I just had a short one this morning. I guess I had already went with option 2. Failed WILD = DILD. I think I will give that tutorial a once over though. Thanks!

if you dont worry about it for a couple nights, that might help

When I'm in a slump I try not to think about it ie. to have a lucid dream . I just relax and don’t think of anything when I go to sleep. When I have slump I one don't even remember my dreams concluding in not having a lucid dream. I find this happens because I am to stressed when I'm awake , leaving me not to have lucid dreams for awhile. Personally I just completely rest my mind when I go to sleep and not try to think about having one.
