      Light Sleeper

When I sleep, I sleep REALLY lightly...so lightly in fact, that I wake up when I hear my cat walk into my room.(the floor doesn't creak either)
Is there any way in which I have myself fall into a deeper sleep

      Have you tried earplugs?
      If I hadn't made me
I'd be more inclined to bow
Powers that be would have swallowed me up
But that's more than I can allow...

That is a good point. In addition to that are there any other things in your sleep environment that are uncomfortable? - to hot, crappy pillow or mattress? - stress?
To much sleep? never really tired maybe. all possibilities.

      Oh. ya----Welcome!!!!!!!!!!

I am the same way. I am an extremely light sleeper. Ask Lost Soul, I used to scare the crap out of her when she would be on the computer and I was asleep. Everytime she move I'd wake up.

In Basic Training, the first night we have what called a Fire Guard, who would do a head count of everyone in the bay. He walked by and I grabbed his wrist before he even touched my bunk. Scared the daylights out of him.

Not really sure what you can do about being a light sleeper. It's mostly adjusting to your surrounding sounds and such. Once your mind gets used to certain sounds, you can sleep through them. I even learned to sleep through artillery fire in Iraq.

hey, thanks guys. I might try some earplugs, and i will most likely not let my cat in my room anymore. but do you think there are any foods or anything that can make you sleep heavier?

My little brother used to drink warm milk before he'd go to sleep. As far as I know that helps with sleeping.

You probably already know it is not good to go to bed stuffed to the gorge.
Anyway there are some supplements that work well.
      Valarian root
      Melotonin
      mint
      calm tabs
glass of wine - make it five J/K.

But don't chug the milk before the jumping jacks; that's a recipe for hurling.
