Thread: When Have You Not Recognised Dreams

I once dreamt that a purple skinned, blue haired, green suit wearing alien was chasing me. Nope, nothing wrong there. Then I tripped and woke up just before he shot my with his laser gun.

More recently, I dreamt my math teacher(whom nobody really likes)was freaking out on me, telling me I should be in class even though school had been out for nearly an hour. When I finally got away and caught up with my friends, one of them told me about how she'd dreamt about my math teacher going crazy. Then we proceeded to jump into my parent's vehical and drove into town which my dad had told me to do when he gave me the keys even though I was only fourteen at the time.

-I was with a bunch of Vikings or Nordic warriors, all dressed in animal furs, big axes and stuff, and we were all riding on Triceratops swimming across some huge lake at night.

That's priceless! Made me laugh out loud.

My dreams are boring in comparrision. I rarely dream about random people, only friends and family and co workers.

Maybe I'll focus on recall for a month, rather than having a LD.

Two weeks ago, during an interesting dream, I was lying on a couch. A guy for whom I've been doing some work (in real life) came into the room and asked me what I was doing. Now, in waking life, I've been on a "teaching LD" kick and that spilled over into this dream.

So anyway, when he asked what I was doing, I replied "I'm questioning reality", which was a lie; I was only looking for an excuse to bring up the subject of LDing. I looked him in the eye and asked, "Can you honestly tell me that you are not dreaming right now?" After a moment of thought he replied, "No, I can't." "Exactly!" I said, "The only way to know if you are dreaming is to question whether you are."

I wanted to kick myself when I awoke. There I was preaching about reality checks - during a dream - and completely failed to follow my own advice.

Last night, I had a dream that I was talking to my sister about lucid dreaming and I didn't have one.

Zombie Apocalypse.

Dunno how that didn't clue me in that I was dreaming, but yeaaah.

For me, normally it's something wrong with my car (last night, the steering wheel was on the passenger side and a while back, the front bumper was completely missing), but what got me the most was a few weeks ago:

I dreamt that I was a my father's house and he had gotten a delivery. Whatever had been delivery was a huge but very thin ( thickness was ~ 1 meter, but the height was taller than the two-storey house) the thing was standing against gravity on the thin side and didn't fall down. Even physical rules are broken in dreams and not the slightest reaction.

i had a dream last night where i was in a lucid dreaming class. i remember the teacher reminding me to always preform reality checks because you never know when you might be dreaming, like right now. i didn't become lucid....
