I don't see how thats synonymous with lucid dreaming. |

I read a lot. It gets to the point that after five minutes I no longer see the words. I've been told this is far above-average reading, especailly for my age. [15] |

No longer see the words? You mean just see what they're saying without consciously reading them? Wish I could do that. I used to read quite a lot, but now I've slowed down a bit due to longer school and more homework. But that sounds really cool! |
|
That's how I've always read. Once every few minutes I'll snap back to reality and see the words for a while, but most of the time I'm there inside the book. |

That's pretty amazing, you have quite a gift there, one I envy |

Wow, I didn't know not everyone could read like that. I thought everyone could read like this... I guess this is why most of my friends don't read... |

I read all the time too, It's been a big part of my life pretty much since I first learned how. It's to the point where I've actually gotten in trouble at school for reading. |
|
I have also been an avid reader since elementary school (5-6 years ago), and I can somewhat understand the phenomenon of "words disappearing"... though, I find this in no way comparable to Lucid Dreams. |

Yes, I read like that. And I can understand what you mean about it seeming like lucid dreaming; it's almost like you aren't there - it's an alternate reality. But yeah, reading is the best. |
|
Its wrong to say that its anything like dreaming... All it is, is visualization. You get a mental image in your head while another part is reading the script... Good authors understand how to make you visualization what they want... that makes for a pleasant reading experience. |
|
I read fast and I mean fast (DaVinci Code in 9 hours) but i've never experianced subconsciously reading and imagining the words/story simultaniously. that seems impressive. The closest thing i can think I've had to that is the words blurring and Me losing my spot and not taking in any information. |
