Believe it or not, within hours of my first post on this forum (last night), I had my first lucid dream in over a YEAR.

It was a bit weird because I first fell into a dream without realizing it - I was still lying on my bed but for some weird reason I felt really dizzy and couldn't see straight or really think without feeling nauseous. At this point many friends and family members proceeded to visit me.

I fell asleep on my bed in my dream and woke up in a lucid dream within a dream. I can barely remember much of it, but I know for a certainty I was lucid. I then woke into a false awakening feeling very sick and dizzy again, and then finally woke up for real feeling very refreshed.

This brings me to my question - do any of you feel very sick/nauseous/"high" in your dreams to the point that your vision is completely blurred?

      Firstly congratulations on the lucid

Well it depends on the level of lucidity. If you have a high level of lucidity your dream will be very vivid and clear where as if you have a low level of lucidity it will be blurred and horrible. Usually the first lucids are the worst, they get better after time. Although some of your later dreams can be blurred but that isn't always common.

That happened to me in lucids before, when the scene whould go blurry, I don't remember feeling sick but to help clear up the vision I made glasses appear in my hands and put them up and putting on the glasses cleared everything up.

The dizzy/sick thing happened to me once.

I was doing some brainwave entrainment stuff (The gateway experiance). I was hoping to get to know the mental state you need to be in to WILD, and I think I was there because I went through the meditation without the mp3 and hipnagogic imagery was short to follow (the WILD failed because somewhere in the mix my mind fell asleep too, but I'll get there one day). But for a minute or two I felt really disoriented (reminiscent of being way too drunk) and thought I was spinning. It went away after a while, and though I've repeated the excercise it hasn't come back. Never had it within a dream (that i know of) though.

      Thanks for the input.

It seems like my experience is a bit different though. I've had similar dreams where I just feel very nauseated, as if on a really severe marijuana trip, and I can barely see or even think. Very reminiscent of too much vicodin on an empty stomach added onto very bad astigmatism. I actually was in a non-lucid dream in this state, until I passed out and fell asleep in my dream. I've never had one lead into an LD before though.

I even had a false awakening back into that sick state. This kind of dream is also very common for my ex (the sick/high type). All I can guess is it could be from smoking marijuana for extended amounts of time in the past.

I know what you mean, I've had dreams where I feel sick and exhausted from just trying to keep the dream going, but typically not just with a lucid. It doesn't always happen though, and is fairly rare. However if i am dreaming I am sick, I can feel quite sick.
