I have had a handful of lucid dreams, and each one has been cut off by a fake awakening. Last night for instance, I realized I was lucid when walking out of my parents house; I jumped into the air and flew around my neighborhood soaking in the awesome feeling of flying. I then decided I wanted to fly into outer space and dance on the stars. I started to fly straight up and began spinning; I closed my eyes and imagined myself in outer space. When I opened my eyes -to my dismay- I was in my bed. My arms and legs were sprawled into the air, and I felt stupid in the awkward position. The fake wakening lasted for a few minutes before I really woke up - never thought I was still dreaming despite weird things still happening.

Do fake awakenings become more seldom as I get used to lucidity, or am I doing something wrong? When I had my first lucid dream, I hoped that I would not wake up from excitement... and it made sense that I should have a fake awakening after such a thought. The other situations seem really random, and they always fool me .
