Thread: Taking...substances...while In An Ld :)

I smoked pot in a couple dreams. Feels just like the real thing. All the same feelings, emotions, munchies...... everything was so realistic even the taste and smell. I AM NOT CONDONING THE USE OF ANY ILICIT SUBSTANCE BTW!!!!!!

Snorted coke once. I have no idea how it compared to real life, because I have never actually tried it before. But in the dream it made my face go numb and just felt pretty good in general.

I as well do not condone the use of illegal drugs. I am actually a pretty straight edge person, minus occasional drinking


But...this idea opens a whole lot of possibilities...especially if the affects attained are smiliar in comparison to the real thing without even having to do it or experience the side affects....

I'm intrigued, in my next LD i'll make it a point to try this and let you know how it goes


It looks like the brain mnemonically can recall what you tie together with a substance (Weather from usage, or what you have "heard" or been told the substance will cause) in this dream world...

How about making your own drug and then take/smoke it?

Like "This drug will make you feel like a liquid, flying over the pink sky of orgasms" ?

Yeah, I have a few friends who are into lucid dreaming as well and we bounce ideas off each other all the time. Ocasionally we hit gold.

Also I have tried Salvia in a normal dream. Just made me heavy and numb and laugh a lot. Although I havn't tried it in reality.

And...salvia, in most cases, is not a fun drug at all. (In real life)

I've done drugs a few times in dreams, but they weren't lucid. I've smoked pot in a dream (I had already tried it in real life). In real life, I hadn't smoked in a couple of weeks. In the dream, it felt just like the real thing, though the dream didn't last very long.

I also did ecstasy on a dream before I had tried it in real life. My brain came up with an upbeat feeling, much like all of my friends had described to me. When I actually tried it in real life, it was more intense, and had a few side effects (fast heartbeat and next-day blues) that were not show up in the dream experience.

I guess the brain just connects the information you know about how its supposed to feel and tries to replicate it. If you have tried it in real life before, then the brain has a really good idea of what the feelings are like. If you never tried the drug before, then the brain just tries to guess. If its the made up drug idea that some of you have had (crazy idea by the way... hehe), then you're in for a very unique experience!

Not necessarily, but its definitely NOT a social drug that you would take at a party, or with people you don't feel comfortable around. You're somewhat right, but it can be an interesting experience. You just have to do a lot of research on it to know what you're in for... just like anything else.

I'm drug free now though... so I'm not condoning the use of any drugs as well, and actually think that if you've never tried anything, then you should try to never try it, if that makes any sense. Except for the occasional drinking...

I haven't had the full blown experience with Salvia that I've wanted yet. It's very dissapointing. For me, I've only been drunk in a dream and that's about it. I do cocaine!

Never tried it in real life, though I wound up smoking pot in a non-lucid dream, just made me all weird and everything was funny. By the way, for the pill why didn't I think of that?

Yes I have tried it and it is awesome. Very intense but awesome.

I did some snappy drug once in as close to LD state as possible. Was a lot like an opiate but was understood to be clean and actually 'good' for me...felt awesome.

I wouldn't mind trying it, but one has to wonder...if you've never done drugs in real life then would you be able to experience what it really felt like thru a dream? For people who've never done them for real I wouldn't imagine that doing it in a dream would actually get the same affect

Well the mind will replace what you havn't experienced with what you think, or have been told. As you can see, a perfect example is a couple posts back. A user (I forget who, sorry) stated they did a line of coke and felt upbeat and their face went numb, this is what coke does to a less intense aspect, and he also stated that he had never done it in real life.

You've never shot a fireball out of ur hand in real life, so your mind sort of "educated guess"es. If that makes sense


Which is where the idea of making up a drug in your LD that does whatever YOU want it to do, then taking it and seeing what happens - comes from.
