Could you, say, study Kung Fu in your sleep, and in waking life, retain the knowlage? It's an interesting question. |

Hey, said candy cane can still be a deadly weapon... just sharpen it. |

Theoretically, you could master anything in a dream. As long as your DC opponent is always a good challenge. I don't think that should be too hard; the subconscious is always a step ahead of you anyway |
|
LD Count: 7
Longest time in a lucid dreamstate: ~6 seconds
Still, the most epic six seconds I have ever experienced...
Probably anything could be taught with shared dreaming, with one exception: your muscles wouldn't actually grow stronger. Anything that is purely mental you could learn. |

Ten years without a dream, now starting almost from scratch.
We're messing with our bodies on a very low level here - can we break them? What will it take to hurt ourselves?
A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men.

you would need to be really good at kung-fu other wise it would be no different than me being neo and killing people with kung-fu |

I believe you can learn ... something like parkour... in lucid dreaming there are no physical consequences so if you try a new move you feel every motion of it and you're not afraid of hurting yourself because you know you're dreaming. I love to do Monkey Vaults and huuuge cat leaps... |

I don't see why anything should be impossible in the dream, you can overcome fears in dreams can you not? you could practice such things you have knowledge of but as "Brilliand" said, muscles will not grow, you will not get stronger, and theres another problem, if for example you fight in a dream you can always end it because you have control, you are always re-assured in the dream but in waking life you could get the crap beaten outta ya, but i suppose its would be great for practice if there was a high level of lucidity. I'd love to try somethin like this in a future lucid dream |

Its IMPOSSBILE. You cant teach yourself something if you dont know the technique. Its like swinging your arms randomly etc. |
