      Hotel Idea.

I had a dream that I was in a hotel room and I insisted that thay supply a copy of "Exploring the world of Lucid Dreaming", By Stephen Laberge. In addition to the Bible that most hotels have, or used to, in the drawer next to the bed.
Maybe next time I stay at a hotel I will leave a copy of the book in the nightstand. That would blow somones mind. Afterall it is the Lucid Dreamers Bible.

Had I bacame Lucid I wonder what event would or could have taken place. -Try reading the book??????

That's a cool idea. Expensive, but cool.

I wonder what kind of response we would get if we wrote a tract and started leaving them around.....

We probably WOULD want to encourage them to research lucid dreaming, but we would NOT want to mention dreamviews.

We could leave them in restrooms and stuff. Hehe!!

Think of all the crackpots that would be bashing us!
you must be the change you wish to see in the world...

That is funny as hell but sad at the same time. There are a lot of narrow minded people out there.

A branch of E-Bay - Half.com > You can buy used books. I have seen Lucid Dreaming books for as little as $2.40

Ironic. Most of those crackpots (esp the closed minded ones) would think of us as crackpots if we tried to explain our hobby to them.
On more than one occasion I've either had an argument or a real wierd look from people that I've mentioned it to.

You'd swear that controlling your dreams is a paranormal act. Maybe thats partly what I love about it - its about as close as you can get to the paranormal without actually BEING paranormal

Haha...but then it wouldn't be 'as fun' because everyone is doing it!

The only thing that people desire to do, even thought the masses participate in it is SEX.
Think about it: trends, fashion, etc all go in cycles, and not that many people really want to be the absolute SAME as everyone else...in life in general. But with sex...everyone does it because you can't get away from it!

Yep - all about feeling important. Balanced by the feeling of wanting to fit in.

Most things about human behaviour and desire boil down to whether it makes you feel fuzzy inside or not. Eg. if someone belittles you in front of others, you're less likely to form a happy bond with them.
Make someone feel good (sincerely) and they'll come back for more. Guaranteed. As long as it isn't blatant see-through flattery. That's .. well.. see-through.

Hmm.. digressing from the topic... sorry

Fuck people! How does the fact that everyone does it interphere with your doing it? You are supposed to like or dislike things because of your personality, and not becuase anyone else likes or dislikes it...I know you weren't completely serious but still....

I have another idea for an hotel, its based on the song "Hotel California"
      If I hadn't made me
I'd be more inclined to bow
Powers that be would have swallowed me up
But that's more than I can allow...

Hotel California, established in 1965, passed on with the late Anton Lavey.

But I like your idea Truthbearer.
