      Ataraxis, you are right on the money. Sometimes one can become lucid based only on this feeling. Your mind tricks you into thinking you are awake, but I don't think it will trick you into thinking you are dreaming.

      Ah, that&#39;s the idea that I was trying to get across. In your dreams, you can be tricked to feel that it is so vivid, you must be awake. But when actually awake, you won&#39;t mistake it for being a dream. Me, personally, don&#39;t SOLELY rely on reality checks to know if I&#39;m dreaming. Reality checks for me simply make it clear that I could be dreaming, then I usually just become aware of it because of the feeling of a dream.
