i feel your pain, my recall will just suck for no reason, you do have dreams every night but you may not necesserily be remembering them, i havn't had a lucid in ages, i suggest that you carry on but if this problem persists just take a break maybe for a week or two, then try again, it may work, i myself am sick of trying and failing, but thats me, it may work for you, good luck |
|
its indeed a good idea to take a break for maybe 3 weeks |

You don't "not get any dreams." You just don't remember the ones you have. |

YEA!
My advice would be to stop trying for a while. Stress can hurt dream recall, and chances are that if you stop worrying about it so much for a bit you'll remember one soon enough, or part of one. As soon as you remember any bit of a dream, no matter how small the detail, write it down. Even if it's just a feeling from a dream you had when you woke up (scared, happy, etc.). But don't try to force yourself to remember them right now- that could do more harm than good. Eventually, it will become more natural. |

i know exactly what you mean, you can try and remember a dream by willing it, but there's not really a direct button that you can press which makes sure that you definately remember your dreams, i find the same problem happening to me, i always put in the intention every night and i manage to fail, i just don't get it |
|
I understand it must be very disheartenig for you. I also would recommend having a break for a couple of weeks or so and attack them again with renewed enthusiasm. Try and put the last 5 months behind you and go for it as if you were just starting out. I would use WBTB as well; |

Whats probably dashign your recall is probably right when you wake up. |
|
I think you might be trying TOO HARD. Sometimes it's not good to be TOO MOTIVATED. You should take short breaks everyonce in a while. |

I've been trying for almost a year now and have only got a few very low-awareness lucids. But I think that's because I'm not actually trying very hard at all. During the summer, I'll stop using my alarm clock, use B6 some more, and I'll try out that brainwave generator thing for lucid dreams on the I-Doser program. |
|
5 months? 1 year? Pshaw... I've been at this for 12 flipping years & still no lucids. |

A lot of people say don't try to hard. but that theory doe's not work for me. |
|
Have you ever spent a day doing RC's like every 10 minutes, all day long? I tried that once, I did as many as possible, and it worked--broke a dryspell I was having (credit goes to ivey, her method). |
|
I try and hold the thought, is this a dream right now, all day long. |
|
I'm not having much luck either. I used to feel sleep paralysis come on during naps often enough when I was younger. Nothing ever happened during nighttime sleep and I don't have expectations there. My problem is finding nap time! |
|
Do people ever read the tutorials? |

Well, just trying to lift your spirits.. |

yeah, like they say -- don't try lucid dreaming without having a decent dream recall abilities. |

I know although it's more rewarding etc. if you do it with no lucid aids but have you thought of taking some B6. Maybe take 100mg every 2nd night for a week? And some melatonin too... |
