      I'm a wee bit confused...

It was just sort of randomly that I happened to stumble across this website. I was unaware that lucid dreaming was an ability people wanted. I don't know if I have the correct impression of what it is exactly but I have a few questions about my personal experiences with what I believe is it. As far back as I can remember I have been able to either wake up or change my dreams when things are not going the way I want them to. I don't know how, but it's always obvious that I am dreaming whenever I do dream. When I was younger, I used to only wake up mentally and be unable to move my body for the first few seconds I was concious, is that common? Most of my dreams are of sort of a dissembodied me floating above being in third person, watching an actual me in the flesh doing things. My dreams are hardly ever in third person is that normal? I have also had an experience where I woke up screaming about an event that was happening and later that day it really did happen. The weird part was that the event was a completely random thing that no one would have known about and didn't even pertain to me. Has this happened to anyone else? Please help me sort this out.

this happened to me a lot as a child, too.

      sounds like Precognition here.
      e.s.p.

i used to do this too as a child. not so much anymore.
i could make it happen by focusing on the sound of the air in the room.
then i would start to rise up to the ceiling. i remember that it felt like puffy cotton balls around me and the sound of the air in the room would become almost deafening, as if i was hearing it amplified x1000.
      strange, but fond memories.
